It transpires that I had read most of this thread after all. I had just not noticed the pages added over the last 3 months or so. I suppose I should add a few now :- 51 to Stagecoach (PD) 68 to Arriva (N) 76 to Arriva (AR) 96 to Arriva (DT) - As I did a detailed Bexley/Woolwich list in the Speculation thread I shall not repeat any others here 114 to RATP (BT or even SO this time) 119 to Stagecoach (TB) 147 to Stagecoach (but now BK) 173 to Arriva (DX) 193 to GA (RR) 223, 224 to Metroline (but now new ON) 227 to Stagecoach (TB) 237 to RATP (AV, although its departure from AV predated RATP) 266 to Metroline (AC or W) 147 Back to Barking takes me back to when the route used Titans and the garage code at BK was changed to CH on most buses in preparation for a move to Chadwell Heath which never happened.
173 does seem strange not being at DX considering how long it ran from there.

I would always see it as a route. [BK] only started to get their piece of the pie when [AP] closed who used to run the route on Sundays. [BK] then got the route when [WH] the original one closed with the Newham area changes then got it back again in the 1999 Jubilee line east London area changes. I cannot remember if it went to the new [WH] before closed or when it acutally closed

Personally for me, I would like to see London Buses re-established as an operator as it was in the late 80's with subsidiaries, this was one of the better times imo.
Some recently happened now with Stagecoach acquiring CT Plus and Lea Interchange. Routes like 26, and 58 are back with Stagecoach. Other routes for me 159 back to Arriva, especially since it was the route to run the last full time Routemasters daily 20, 109, 168, 173, 176, 184, 382, 393, 444, W14, W15, W16 back to Arriva 232 back to Metroline 5, 15, 30, 69, 101, 104, 230, 248, 276, 325, 364, 376 to Stagecoach 3, 462 to Go Ahead

Might have some space. North most certainly has 264 was lost but TC in recent times have retained most of their work whilst TH has outside of one school route. N picked up the 432 & BN hasn’t seen any movements either so personally, that’s pretty stable 😉

If first london was still in London then I would love to see the 179 back with them, the 123, 296. (I still remembered when the 296 used to go to Harold Wood). The 341 and maybe the 259. The 67 I would like to have seen how it would be like if Stagecoach got it again. I'd want the 230 to be back at Stagecoach. The 158 with First.

Titans suited route 147 so well that for a split second I almost forgot it no longer uses Titans! I rode one on my first August Bank Holiday outer London priority trip, back in 1980. Route 173 effectively brought Arriva to London being the first route won by Grey Green.
