Here's routes I'd like to see go back to their original operators: Arriva to regain routes 24, 68/N68, 109, 125, 159, 168, 176, 379, 382, 407, 432, 444 Abellio to regain routes 112, 117, 235, 322, K1, K3, G1 Metrobus to regain routes 64, 75, 130, 146, 246, 261, 367, 405, 433, 464, R7 Go-Ahead London (the rest of the company) to regain routes 45, 85, 229, 270, 345, 401, 422 RATP to regain routes 27, 57, 81, 120, 222, 267, S4 Stagecoach to regain routes 15, 30, 69, 103, 269 Metroline to regain routes 18 Tower Transit to regain route 70, 295 Today is the first time I'm finally reading this thread in detail. I would like many of these to return to the respective operators you mention. However, in a handful of cases these would represent routes returning to their previous not their original operators. Some I notice include 176 at Q until 1990, 117 at AV until 1986, 322 at N until 1995, 75 at TL until 2014, 130 at TC until 2003, 146 at TB until 1985 and 295 at S until 1992. I realise that you mean original operator you noticed them with rather than the operator they originated with. But yes, we will inevitably see sentimental value in routes with operators as discovered. So I understand exactly how you feel.

When route 1 replaces route 168, I have visions of ServerKing creating a newspaper article about route 168 rising from the ashes and being awarded to Arriva.

The 261 can go back to MB if TB get the 208 back lol. Given that it is route 208 rather than route 261 that has continued to serve Orpington, I approve of the current arrangement of route 208 at MB and 261 at TB.

Would like to see 38 extended back to Leyton Green and now Stagecoach have taken over HCT a shared allocation between Ash Grove & Leyton.

I would like the 266 back at Metroline. London United isnt doing it for me. The 114 back at RATP. E7 go back to metroline. The 207 and 427 back at metroline I also miss first, the livery and everything I'd quite like all these to happen, apart from route 207 which I like with Abellio as it serves Southall but not Uxbridge.

With 7 year contracts now the new normal it seems so strange thinking routes starting new contracts next year won’t have the opportunity to return to old operators until 2030! What’s even worse is routes with electrics potentially could run until 2037!
For me it would have been good to have seen the 147 return to WH garage.

It transpires that I had read most of this thread after all. I had just not noticed the pages added over the last 3 months or so. I suppose I should add a few now :-
51 to Stagecoach (PD) 68 to Arriva (N) 76 to Arriva (AR) 96 to Arriva (DT) - As I did a detailed Bexley/Woolwich list in the Speculation thread I shall not repeat any others here 114 to RATP (BT or even SO this time) 119 to Stagecoach (TB) 147 to Stagecoach (but now BK) 173 to Arriva (DX) 193 to GA (RR) 223, 224 to Metroline (but now new ON) 227 to Stagecoach (TB) 237 to RATP (AV, although its departure from AV predated RATP) 266 to Metroline (AC or W)

Yes it could. I thought more about AC & W having been its former garages, although it had not had an AC allocation for quite some time.
