They won it on tender but by the time the contract started, they had already been bought by Tower Transit

The 176 back to Arriva - I grew up with the 176 always being an Arriva route and the move to Go Ahead although made perfect sense and came as no surprise still does not feel particularly right to me. The number 1 return I had always wanted was the 25 back to Stagecoach, well The 5, 15 and 115 are more routes I'd like to see Stagecoach getting back, although I've got to give Go Ahead credit they'd honestly pretty much mastered the 5. Just that it's regulation every other minute. The 15 has noticeable become worse under them, I imagine it was just a route thrown into a potential joint bid and it did actually end up working out cheaper overall. However there are many little "tricks" if you'd like they use to maximise mileage such as the buses which do Aldwych to TSQ multiple times then head back to the garage - I'd be surprised if they keep it at RR next tender. The 139 back to Metroline, but like the 25
