The 176 back to Arriva - I grew up with the 176 always being an Arriva route and the move to Go Ahead although made perfect sense and came as no surprise still does not feel particularly right to me. I'm old enough to remember when the 176 was run out of WL and Q the first time round. However it did have a long run with the same company under various brands from London & Country, Londonlinks, Cowie South London to Arriva London South. (Those of us who can remember when London & Country borrowed buses from South Yorkshire when the tender started!) The 185 I'd like to see go back to TL under Stagecoach, until 2001 it was a long serving route from there, then a patchy period under London Easylink before it went bust, then East Thames Buses and now GAL where it has settled down. Can't fault GAL's management of the route however. Shame that, if the 185 went back to Stagecoach, that T's or L's won't return with it

The difference is that route 37 goes east - west, but route 118 goes north - south. SW is nice and central for route 37, and it could even move back if space is needed at PM for extra routes locally such as route 78, 177 or P13. I've said for years now that I'd like to see the 37 move to SW more so because I'd see it's reliability improving being operated more centrally than at the PM end. Moving the 37 does seem like a good idea to me and would give room for another route to go into PM. On a separate note I would like to SW gain a a new route rather than just a route from another Go Ahead garage which has happened with the 77,118,155,93*and G1. *Part allocation only.

97 and 158 either back to First (now TT), or stay/return at/to WH with new Smart Hybrid MMCs

Was still a shame that [T] never won it after going for it so many times in the 90's and early 2000's, it would have probably given an opportunity to see Titans on the route again. Fondly remember Titans on this route back in the 80's. It was good when the 91 was won by Capital Citybus and a few ex LT Titans loaned had made odd workings on the 97.

269 being Arriva instead of Stagecoach really bugs me. It just doesn't feel right.

I think your right - Croydon certainly saw Palatine 1βs from London General on the 157, the various Metrobus routes & probably on the 75 with Stagecoach, the ELC Pyoneerβs with Metrobus & the East Lancs Londonlink examples on the 403. IIRC, they also had Alexander ones with Stagecoach on the 194?

269 being Arriva instead of Stagecoach really bugs me. It just doesn't feel right. Given how many EX TB/PD Drivers are on the route theres very much a Stagecoach feel to it and most are far happier where they are now.

Bit early ! But yes I agree massive shame they lost this route. Even more so given the fact it uses the same buses, at least if you had conventionals you would feel Abellio presence on the route.
