Canteen talk says this service reduction could be to mainly central routes only, as to where I am around it's busy as ever on rush hour and even during the normal running during the day.

AFAIK this is only at discussion stage, so I am waiting until any changes are announced officially. Even Sullivan Buses' Twitter feed only said reductions on TfL were "likely" and that they would post more when they knew.

Will this have an impact on the tenders Who gives a flying f**k if it does, I work in public transport, me and my colleagues are working bloody hard in the hardest circumstances any current working person has ever seen, we face the constant anxiety of enormous uncertainty and potentially going home and tellling our loved ones we no longer have a livelihood, and yet your biggest concern is whether a bus has a different operator's logo on it? Get a grip and grow up, you are a disgrace. Delete your account. Apoligies for the rant but this stuff really winds me up. MODS MSG Whilst I don't disagree with where you are coming from, I think a little restraint would have been better. I don't know if WSD3 is a younger member, but there are those not fully mature yet or wise to the ways of the world so to speak - you have to remember that the forum is comprised of all ages and abilities - including sometimes those who may be a bit challenged for whatever reason. Like I say, I don't disagree with the point you are making BUT lets sometimes think of others and explain without the need to insult or go OTT - if a member persists report it and we can intervene etc. In other threads members are complaining about quality of posts, I agree but if we start insulting and swearing all posts will be deleted which I am sure nobody wants.....even if some members are frustrating at times..... Lets move on....

Where I am around Saturday jobs are more or less OK but Sunday ones yeah, 10-12 hour easy, the one I am gonna do on Sunday they could easily add extra 2 buses but nah let's make these drivers get fatigue'd.

BA have started places some of their fleet into storage over the last few days, a number of their A321's made it up to Glasgow this afternoon. I was speaking with a BA staff member earlier and he reckoned that from next week, their Cancellations would really kick in.
Also have heard rumors that Terminal 4 will close in the very near future, to be used for aircraft parking/storage, with airlines that fly into T4 being moved into T2 & T3, with BA moving all their operation out of T3, consolidating their ops from T5.

It depends however we have contracts with our set hours so we shouldnt lose pay There is also the issue that if drivers follow Government and Public Health Authority advice on self-isolation, and absent themselves from work when not actually sick*, that they continue to be paid. * currrent advice is that if any family member has symptoms indicating possible coronavirus, the entire household should self-isolate for seven days. Correct me if I’m wrong but I understand that the current advice is if you live on your own and have symptoms, you self isolate for 7 days whilst if you live with others, the entire group of people have to self isolate for 14 days?

My information is that if school buses are required then they will run separately to the regular Saturday services. Personally, I’d be surprised if the schools are still open come Monday

Personally, I’d be surprised if the schools are still open come Monday i think they should try to keep the schools open for as long as possible. My idea is the government could pull foward the six week summer holidays combined with the 2 week Easter break and half term to give schools a 9 week closure. Then send the kids back in early June to make up the six weeks before a break in late August/early September for two weeks before a new school year begins. In the interim six weeks schools/colleges are open for exams only to ensure the yr 11/12/13 students are not left behind. Obviously it would need to be adjusted the longer this goes on.

Many schools are setting up e-learning for classes. I would kind of be surprised if schools are open during the holidays to make up for not having lessons now as they will have to pay staff now during isolation and extra during the holiday, which I'm not sure some schools can afford.
