No, I mean that the government is saying that pubs are the problem and trying to introduce restrictions whilst schools are staying open and this is what is happening. But it’s a chicken and egg scenario. Are the teachers actually catching COVID-19 in the schools or are they catching in their personal lives? It’s very easy to blame schools being open but no-one can say for definite this is where teachers are catching COVID-19. I am not doubting that some teachers are catching it from pupils but who’s to say they aren’t catching it in a supermarket or in the pub or in a gym. I would agree that maybe they need to limit the amount of children in schools, so for secondary maybe have the younger years 7-9 at home and rotating through weeks to maintain education for the older students who are preparing for GCSEs. Whether or not it's brought from in or out of school, it can be spread in school.

The only thing I can say is if it's proven they're catching it from supermarkets, it's not the fault of the supermarkets given it's compulsory for us to wear masks among other things whilst customers are still not required to do the same.

In a school of over 2000 pupils, and we've only got 7 science teachers left. And they say that pubs are the problem... I wouldn't say pubs are the problem but schools and colleges/uni's. But is it no surprise, many of them listen and believe in these conspiracy theorists.

I know it's 219 pages too late.
But it'd be such a relief if this topic were split into - Coronavirus - Transport Impact
- Coronavirus - General Discussion

This is two, this is my original one, one was then created by another member to discuss the transport side of things. This original thread has become a bit messy and political and pretty much run its course.

Borough of Richmond takes over from Redbridge as the borough with the most cases whilst Sutton takes over from Merton as the borough with the least cases - of course, nothing to with transport so feel free to move somewhere more appropriately if people wish

17540 reported cases today. Some are probably backdated but still a big increase.

It's pictured here at Thamesmead operating route 472

Could make it and daily challenge match the infection cases to fleet numbers! Hey a little light humour never hurt 😀

Be interesting to see if the circuit breaker works in Scotland, if we see a reduction whilst pubs are closed then a increase when back open it will be pretty clear. I guess they could do the same and close schools for a couple of weeks and see if infections drops. Could run these as regional trails in areas of high infection. My hunch is that although this restriction has only been announced through to October 25th, it will continue for some time afterwards.
