So it's 26c now not a cloud in sky just seen a mom with baby in buggy and a kid get on bus, kids dancing about the poles it's steaming in bus as well...instead of walking and enjoying weather they went 4 stops...bless them. When I was a kid in the Phipps Bridge area there wasn't a Sunday service on the 200 and the 152 was such a poor service it may as well have not run at all. In a sense however they were small mercies as we all learnt from it the value of a good brisk walk between there and Colliers Wood and Mitcham, something which I still do today when the weather is good enough or if the next bus would take longer in waiting than for us to walk half the distance to Colliers Wood. Even when going to and from school I would most times walk it rather than take the bus, bearing in mind I will use the bus fare for sweets Don't forget the Sunday 88 went to and from AL to Mitcham and Acton Green via Phipps Bridge

I remember doing the journey once.

Even though I am a big fan of the RMT I have no sympathy for Steve in this he should be sacked. If Bob was here here he wouldn't have said that despite what the papers said about him. Bob was amazing I supported him in the night tube and ticket office closures disputes. Whatever you think Steve shouldn't have said what he did.

Check out the time card, how long would that take today!? Attachments from an IArmstrongs Bus page Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

What a stupid fool, incredibly childish statement to make I think heβs going to be finished with the RMT after this.

If there was total lockdown will all the transport stop running and would some transport will still be running so that NHS staff can still get to work? Here, I expect so. Mind you, in Wuhan, China where it originated, they did suspend public transport as part of their lockdown.

Anyone else more concerned about getting their hair cut before riding buses after this is over? π Yes, definitely! My hair is becoming like a mullet!π Maybe they should bring back 80s Metrobuses and Titans to match the era when mullets were the fashion. With ULEZ suspended they would not contravene ULEZ guidelines either.
