From this weeks LOTS news.
Effective from Saturday 25 June, the Tower Transit operation at Lea Interchange Garage was transferred to Stagecoach ownership. A new O’Licence TTOL2022 Ltd was created to operate the buses and routes, this company being effectively a subsidiary of Stagecoach. It will be a few weeks yet before fleet re-numbering and altering the iBus and LVF references can take place.
-------------------------------------
Does the above mean it will it will be more difficult for routes / buses to swap between LI and other garages? not really clued up on how things work with the licenses / subsidiaries.
Its effectively what happened with RM where it was under the Thameside brand. In reality most people won't notice a difference bar variations in driver contracts and the like. Transfers won't be no different to how they are between East London and Selkent at the moment.

But saying that can’t imagine a garage in that location being that cheap. Is there any reason the garage was not just incorporated into the existing east London operation?

I think there are a lot more logistics involved, apart from the NP takeover I don't think any buy outs have been absorbed into existing licenses (correct me if I'm wrong). The Metroline portion of First became Metroline West, while RATPs portion of Tower Transit is a standalone subsidiary called London Transit. Quality Line also remained a standalone subsidiary until its closure.

Other than the First buyout which became Metroline West, all of the past Metroline acquisitions were eventually absorbed into the Metroline Travel license. The MTL acquisition did for a few years existed as Metroline London Northern before becoming part of Metroline Travel.

It was a brand but the management was the same as London United and Sovereign. So by definition it wasn’t a stand alone subsidiary. If it was it would have retained separate management, separate seat moquette, separate ordering policies and it would have retained its own HQ on Roy Richmond Way but none of those things were in place after 2017.

It's interesting to note from the excellent LVF (thanks guys) that LI buses are still operating with their legacy TT fleet numbers I make it 139 currently based at LI and no long-term VORs (please feel free to amend / correct) Does anyone know if / when the fleet will be re-registered?

Stagecoach seem to have started recruiting for Lea Interchange, although drivers seemingly get put on another contract as opposed to their East London counterparts. RM has been on different contract for a while.
Funny situation now where the Stagecoach websites advertises Stagecoach Rainham as a per annum salary, the rest of Stagecoach East London as a weekly wage while Lea Interchange is an hourly wage.
