haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/route-241-extensionA proposal has released to extend the 241 bus route from Stratford City Bus Station to Here East via Montfichet Road, Pool Street, Carpenters Road, Sweet water Place, Bassett Lane, Marshgate Lane, Waterden Road and Lesney Avenue. There will be no changes to the frequency 241, and a bus would still appear every 10 minutes at peak times. But the weekend one would change from 15 minutes to 12. There are no services at Carpenters Road, Sweeidioter Place and part of Marshgate Lane, but this would allow that to happen. I think it's a good extension, but it would still require a frequency increase because it might still be a good extension. But the name 'Here East' for a destination sounds awful. '241 to Here East' just doesn't sound right, perhaps they could mention something like 'Hackney, Here East' or something, not sure.

I would further extend this route further to Hackney Wick, which would make a good North East to Docklands link and connect to routes like 236 and 26.

Has 82030 entered service or simply not tracking like 82041? Answering my own question - now tracking on LVF as of today so all are definitely in service - 82041 still not tracking but having been confirmed by others

Not sure if the route would be extended further to Hackney Wick, but I think even this extension would still be a really beneficial and it should be done. I assume it would happen once the contract gets awarded again to its new operator, or retained by Stagecoach which I have a strong feeling that it will, as Arriva probably wouldn't take it and Blue Triangle is already having both their garages fill up, unless Silvertown (SI) take the route which is very unlikely. I would however increase the PVR from 10 to 12 at least or 16 at highest.

15076 has came off the 96 a few hours ago The end of the Stagecoach Scania OmniCitys? Looks like it especially with other Scanias on the 96 that came off service this morning didn't come back later in the day with at least one of them that was out in the morning left PD to be decommissioned at WH.
After 15 years of Stagecoach/ELBG Scanias in London it has now come to an end (unless one suddenly reappears), as much as they are uncomfortable to ride, I'm going to miss having them for the all the character, quirks and power they had while riding them over the years.

It certainly is the end of an era. Their abundance in certain areas made them a regular sight that's now no more. The 96 was a fitting end, a route that had an allocation of them once upon a time and then consistently used to use them regardless of its newer allocation in the years which followed.

Not sure how accurate info this is but apparently the EVs for the 314 at TB will not enter service for the contract start date.

Not sure how accurate info this is but apparently the EVs for the 314 at TB will not enter service for the contract start date. All TfL tender announcements state that electric vehicles may not enter service on the contract start date.

There are now several refurbished buses at PD the grey fake leather seats. They look fairly good but it's clear that the refurbishment doesn't include the suspension. Load noises from the front wheels whenever they go over a bump. Are refurbs not just a fresh coat of paint and new seating? Never been a heavy overhaul. I personally think the grey seating is awful. They did one of the former HCT MMCs at HK then stopped! I am hoping they have had a change of mind about future refurbs for this batch. Are there any routes that are, or soon will be, allocated fully grey seated buses?
