Is it confirmed that the AW infrastructure for chargers is working and in use properly, and that the 379 and 616 are not being powered using a portable charger? The W5's entire batch has entered service at different garages but isn't on its allocated route yet. Unless the W5 isn't moving, will the route continue to be operated from HK and wait until HK is wired up for D7, 277 and 242? Usually with routes becoming electric, things holding it back include, the batch not arriving on time, or the fact that the garage isn't wired up, but for the W5 this isn't the case at all unless there is an external factor such as the fact that they cannot locate drivers who will be driving the W5 route. Yes it is confirmed that AW is electrified - the W5 will be moving over in due course, but needed to be several weeks after the switch on to make sure everything is running properly…

Anyone noticing the horrific shape of Rainham's Enviro 400s? They're slow, rattle a lot, leak water in through the windows and the handrails are peeling really bad. I cannot wait for the new contract for the 252 and hope the 365 is just lost or gets new buses with the 252 instead of the possible 2 year extension. A lot of Enviro 400's leak water and rattle, they aren't RM only issue. I've also seen plenty of peeling handrails across many different bus types and operators. Sure but they are expected to last on some of their routes until 2027 (496) and providing stagecoaches abhorrent service on the 365 is rewarded with a 2 year extension

Is the 97 sometimes operated by Leyton (T), because there was an Enviro 400H on it earlier and now there's a 257 MMC (12429 - YX67 VBF) unless the vehicle is a loan to Lea Interchange? There will probably be an appearance of E400 MMCs on further LI routes if the 330, 474 and 241 move on, and that obviously can be quite a big batch of buses. Depends on the tender results now.

That’s not necessarily true, there was lots of assumptions that rare workings would increase when new blinds were fitted at LI but allocations have stayed pretty rigid with only occasional odd workings.

The 173 seems to be having a really bad day today. Only 1 electric out today as someone else posted elsewhere (charger issues at BK?), and the entire but one allocation is currently heading to KGH

The A406 slip at Barking was also the same. Not sure what the issue was but could have had a knock on effect for the 173 today. With the electrics I do wonder what the issue is? Sundays are always particularly bad on the 173 and 174.

Some charging issues at NS. 1 only charges for 2mins before cutting out. The rest seem to be okay. With all new things there’s gonna be teething issues so i wouldn’t be 2 concerned just yet 👍

Throughout the weekend there was a festival held in Barking Park. I assume some of that disruption had an effect on the evening run in for the 173's electrics.

Will the electroliners for the 242 all moved to HK now and stored there since all of the metrocities are out? Also, Both 11036 and 11037 have been transferred to HK for the 242 for some reason

Don't forget space will be needed for work to be undertaken to install chargers etc at HK.
With regards to the two Smarts that transferred they are probably cover for the below :
11017 last seen 18/5
11028 last seen 28/5

11033, 11036 and 11037 are out on the 242.
Three of the LED trial buses so presumably they have been set up for the route.

The issue at RM should be resolved somehow, no idea how tho!
