Have the handrails been repainted to orange (like 12504) or left gold? They have been painted gold like they were originally. Also it seems like the flat seats (like the ones at the rear and above the wheels) seem to be more padded. I'm not sure if the TfL moquette was originally like this but I know it's alot more padded than the standard Stagecoach ones View Attachment This should be the standard interior for all London buses!

Glad they saw sense and didn’t continue with it

12511 for HKs 26/388 has been refurbished. The seats have been replaced with the TfL moquette as it had previously. I think 12504 is the only one that has been fitted with the leather seats (unless more have been refurbished that I'm not aware of) which Is interesting. This tfl moquette reminds me of the blue and red moquette that used to be on the Delta's and Lances back in the 90s on the London Transport buses before it came to stagecoach. I know Go Ahead had them on their volvo olympians and London United had them on their VAs and VPs on their early buses.

Took the BZL on the 58 and the one thing it seems to have over the Electroliner is it moves off more steadily and has a smoother ride. That could be a driver thing so I will see the next time.
I could not locate fleet number on the back so not sure if this has stopped or I just simply missed it?

I definitely agree there is a smooth ride quality to the bus. I also notice that BZLs have a tendency to roll back ever so slightly at the point of setting off. Fellow passengers joining definitely noticed the ‘mod cons’ on the bus. It also now the third time now that I have been on a BZL type of bus and heard it being compared to (in a favourable tone) a coach lol I had reservations about the seating layout on the lower saloon from the pictures on of the demonstrators. Unfortunately still not convinced this is a good design downstairs. Marginally better than the ADL MMC EVs but nowhere near as good as the Wrightbus. The upper saloon was also quite hot not sure the air cooling was functioning on 86187

New temporary night route 759 started running last night. It has a PVR of 3 and is using route 124’s E200s. This temporary route runs between Brixton, Effra Road to Oval Station via Brixton Road and Camberwell New Road following sections of route P5.

I could hear the chilling was running at the back but there was no benefit above my seat. Very few opening windows.

The paintwork looks phenomenal. I'm not so keen on how the red continues upto the top behind the tree bar. I think it looks better when it's painted black.
