Thought they're not allowed operator logos on the front anymore Probably contract which had specifications done a while ago There seems to be some extreme inconsistency going on, the Abellio deliveries arriving now still have operator logos on the front.

It probably optional for now before it's actually made compulsory and it seem like Abellio like to just tick all the extras by looking at their buses whilst GAL cheap out and don't tick any

Thought they're not allowed operator logos on the front anymore Probably contract which had specifications done a while ago Funny you say that as I spotted an electric on the 86 yesterday with a faulty side blind which showed the manufacturer date of March 2023! Just goes to show how long the lead time is to get buses into service. The 86 tender was awarded in 2022 so this could explain why they have the logos and managed to get away with using smart blinds instead of LED ones. It is very inconsistent though but then that’s the same with the many different styles of blinds in use! There are even still dayglo blinds in use.

They can't do it across all the different electric vehicles when it comes to blinds, I-Bus screens, flooring, etc and they don't seem able to do it here with the no logo on the front business. This shouldn't be hard to do.

At least in the London Transport days they had that blue and red moquette on a lot of london buses and the misha black moquette on some Leyland Olympians and Titans and Metrobuses. Who knows what goes on in them towers.

On the 215 right now to get the BZL for the 58 and I’ve just gone past 2 broken down Streetdecks in the Chingford Mount area. I wish the 97 had electrics tbh.

BYD internal display only have about 3 in 5 working, apparently there too much stuff powered by the seperate battery for accessories so the display are the first to turn off in some Enviro(2/4)00EVs if the air cooling is on

I'm surprised Stagecoach chose to bid with them, considering their poor reliability, and I do wonder if they will gradually replace them with another type as they become available. A bit like how RATP seem to be gradually replacing the E3's ADHs with VHs. A small number of the ex-277 E40Hs will be surplus to the 238, plus some more from the 257, as a starting point. And if the 422 goes fully diesel, then a few more hybrids are freed up. Or could LTs even be an option for the 97, including those from the SL3? Similarly I wouldn't be surprised if the Streetdecks on the 44 and 452 get withdrawn when the routes are retendered.

Took the BZL on the 58 and the one thing it seems to have over the Electroliner is it moves off more steadily and has a smoother ride. That could be a driver thing so I will see the next time. I could not locate fleet number on the back so not sure if this has stopped or I just simply missed it? I'd imagine that even the most 'enthusiastic' drivers would take it easy on their first day or two driving them in service.

I have posted this several times but it does feel like posts are ignored on occasions.

There are still buses at HK with blinds stating "Bethnal Green Chest Hospital" which closed over 10 years ago 😂😂😂 so I think we will see some inconsistent logos for a while however personally think they look wrong at the back should be in the usual place at the front with the Electric Bus logo at the back , everything is boring now no variations bar the Superloop liveries take me back to Early 2000s when everything was red but different varieties and skirt colours etc

The 44 would certainly have enough potential buses from the part 22/88 and 172/188 if they want an existing bus bid and not use the WSDs.
