HK have long sent out deckers on the D6 even under CT Plus when they had sufficient numbers of single deckers so I wouldn't read too much into that regarding any potential shortage. It should be noted that HK has a rather young fleet of single deckers as a result of CT Plus victories between 2017 & 2018/2019 so I can't imagine shortages being too frequent apart from covering for the now departed 309 Solos. andyc confirmed that 2538 doesn't work the W13 school journey anymore with 10116 the official decker for it with that hybrid allocated to a different route at HK. The two spare E400 Cities will be moving to AW (and then T) to complete the contract on the 616. The two EVs will move to PD for the 180, with 84163 then moving across to TL to make up the additional PVR on the route… Perfect, most users of the 616 won't really notice a change with the vehicles anyway!

I am sure they will notice more double decker workings! The 616 has suffered lots of single decker workings and this will stop once the route is at T where there will be a larger spare pool of buses.

This part is VERY TRUE I fear, although I don't want to necessarily blame AW given their very small amount of double deckers, and will just about become a single decker only garage, I feel like Stagecoach could've handled the situation better by introducing another spare hybrid they might've had, but moving it to T will definitely help as they don't operate any single decker routes anyway!

You’ve been told several times to not contact me through any means by both me and mods and yet you done so on three occasions in the last few weeks. I don’t care for your corrections or your sympathy posts so seriously, grow up and go bother someone else!

One good thing about the 20 and 616 to T and that’s no more single deck workings 😂

I think it's safe to say that the 309 has fully converted to a full E200 MMC operation, with the occasional E200 working on it, but that's simply because buses go in and out from HK, but it has received its intended allocation and majority of the route is using the MMCs anyway. Interestingly, HK has put a D6 allocated 10.8m E200MMC out on the 309 last week (and also another one on the 394 on the same day which is even more shocking). It's not the first time a longer version was used on the 309, though it's relatively rare - and I personally think they may struggle around some tight turns along the route. But I do wonder if we'll be seeing more of these in the future so that there's more flexibility.

Even the 9m vehicles were a squeeze!!! 37791 was the one involved and it logged onto the 394 for around 2 hours last Thu. So if it's not a glitch, it likely did a rounder before being subbed off, which still amazes me! 37785 was also out on the 309 for almost a full day the same day.

273 Retained 3 Years Existing 657 to operate from Leyton from March with a Hybrid DD No big surprise with either. The 273 continues the tread of existing 3 year terms for handed back routes.

I am sure they will be able to find a single hybrid suitable for the garage. Could be another ex-HK E40H/City to standardise at T with the 20/616. When the 257 converts to electrics, the remaining hybrid fleet at T will just be 61reg E40Hs (likely too old for a new contract), E40H/Citys and LTs. At the moment HK has 38 of them (including the 65reg ex-demo). Roughly they need 22 for the 26 and 12 for the 388, and 2 due to move to the 616, so that still leaves 1-2 spare.
