It could help if the 193 and 346 were run from the same garage, whether NS or RM? NS is full so would have to be RM, but the 193 is well run from NS, tbh there’s no need to swap things as the 499 can take double decks so any single deck unreliability can be covered by the 499 fleet as the 346 can use the 499s MMCs and the 499 taking on the 165 role of given double decker when its own fleet is off road or needs to cover the other routes. I don’t want to sound harsh but I really wouldn’t start going along the lines that now the 165 has converted the 499 will go the same way. The only reason the 165 has gone double decker is to release buses for the 310.

I believe you misread my post, I simply said the 499 would use double deckers in the event that its own buses are unavailable or covering the 346. The 499s buses are quite unreliable for whatever reason there’s normally always one off at any given time for a long period, I’m not suggesting it will convert to a full double decker operation rather that I can see increased appearances.

I don't think the OP was advocating for the 499 to go DD, just more so that when it's a single decker down that they can use a spare DD.

Is the 310 the first route to start on a Sunday? I hope the route is not overrun with enthusiastic enthusiasts on the first day! It’s a low frequency single decker route so hopefully people will be sensible and respectful especially considering the community and area it will serve.

I find it odd that the timetable makes no mention of such a significant place in regards to Finsbury Park

No fewer than six E400s out on the SL3 as I write. Are TB having problems with the LTs?

I find it odd that the timetable makes no mention of such a significant place in regards to Finsbury Park It seems a bit odd; however the route doesn't actually have a stop at Finsbury Park Station. The stops are in Seven Sisters Road (Blackstock Road stops), or at Tollington Park. Buses towards Golders Green also stop in Rock Street. It by-passes both the bus stations.

I find it odd that the timetable makes no mention of such a significant place in regards to Finsbury Park yeah I thought it going to stop at Finsbury Park station nearby but sounds like, TfL refuse for 310 to stop nearby when there is many other bus routes already service there by the station.

I’ve seen the SL3’s LTs on tow so many times, probably more than literally any other route including the ones I’ve lived near for 15-ish years despite the route not even being 1 My last sighting of one was in Mottingham going in the direction of Eltham/Bromley a few weeks ago

Glad theyre only temporary anyway, absolutely wretched buses and the SL3 is an absolutely brilliant route. The SL3 doesn’t deserve LTs😂 can’t wait to see the new E400EV for it
