I find it odd that the timetable makes no mention of such a significant place in regards to Finsbury Park yeah I thought it going to stop at Finsbury Park station nearby but sounds like, TfL refuse for 310 to stop nearby when there is many other bus routes already service there by the station. Hard to see how it could stop closer to the station. The left turn from Station Place onto Stroud Green Road is banned, and would require remodelling of the junction and rephasing of traffic lights if it were to be allowed. In the other direction the route cannot run through the Wells Terrace bus station as this is taken up by terminating routes, and in any case the right turn onto Stroud Green Road is also banned (largely to avoid DDs hitting the bridge). If the routeing via Stroud Green is to be adopted permanently perhaps a pair of stops could be added under the bridge - not the most appealing of locations but better than nothing.
I'm sure there will be a lot of angry passengers who will have boarded the first bus that comes along in Stroud Green expecting to be able to alight at the station. Particularly as they will typically have to sit through a few traffic light phases before they are finally let off the bus on Seven Sisters Road.

19815 has rocked up at RM today. 11/14 buses for the 165, 3 left to appear in service. I imagine today is the last day for E200 MMCs although I guess they could do a bit of time tomorrow but would be not a lot of preparation between leaving RM and entering HK.
For the first time, ALL 12 of the 165 buses are E400s, a full double decker allocation!

I expect it wasn't considered worthwhile putting in extra stops for what is currently a trial operation. If the route is to become permanent, a couple of extra stops may be added on Stroud Green Road close to Wells Terrace just for the 310 - it's worth suggesting in the consultation. That's if it still runs that way of course.

If there are any routeing changes I suspect they'll be in the Highgate area to reduce duplication of the 210.

Otere posters have suggested alternative routes in ths area, possibly opening up new connections - TfL will look at suggestions that are made as part of the consultation process. Using Tollington Park, Upper Tollington Park and Endymion Road has been suggested for example.

Temporary crossing lights got installed at the back of station. To do this one stand was removed. For some reason instead of maximising the rest of the stands some which rarely get used 257 was shifted out. By deduction that route makes sense. The question was 'What is going to change from the date of original change to August that will enable the 257 to return?'. We know via another paper that there are design plans to make permanent arrangements later in the year but this did not explain how 257 was going to return in August. Then I heard that the 257 timetable will change to ensure fewer buses would be at Walthamstow. Then the question is why the timetable was not changed immediately in March? So that was the point I realised this was all lies and made no sense and was expecting this to happen. It was such an arbitrary date as well. Does the 257 have a new stand to use after 8pm each day or does it stand wherever is free? I assume the temporary crossing is related to other works in the bus station or nearby? It can stand anywhere but the idea is after 8pm the number of buses drop for all routes as we enter the evening service so there will be space. By that logic it should serve the station on Sundays but I think TfL assume that will be confusing arrangement. The lights were introduced at the crossing due to the death of a pedestrian as a result of a collision with a bus. The lights will be made permanent. There will be apparent design changes to the layout of the station too but this sounds like it will not happen until end of 2024/early 2025. So again I dont know how it will return in 1st November. The layout must be related to the stands that dont get used for some reason. The two that are parallel to Selborne Road and are immediately to the right as buses enter the station have cones and I dont recall seeing a bus use them for years but they look fine to me. Then we have the single stand towards the exit and I have seen maybe two buses stand there in the last year or so. You would think they would have been used to replace the one stand that was lost but clearly there seems to be an issue with them.

Apparently V’s maintenance on them was absolutely shocking when they had them, so it’s probably not surprising they’re in pretty poor condition. Glad theyre only temporary anyway, absolutely wretched buses and the SL3 is an absolutely brilliant route. The SL3 doesn’t deserve LTs😂 can’t wait to see the new E400EV for it Our engineers were genuinely shocked at the condition the majority of the batch were in - as I said up there, they’ve performed miracles in keeping the things going as much as they have. I think we’re all looking forward to the new buses arriving! Surely if Stagecoach pay rent for these things, whether it's deducted from the contract price or whatever, they must be able to make a claim against TfL for the increased costs they are incurring and TfL can recover those costs from RATP. I recall reading that TfL get the LTs inspected before operator moves to ensure that they are in an adequate condition. Sounds like Stagecoach will be able to argue that they were not.

No fewer than six E400s out on the SL3 as I write. Are TB having problems with the LTs? I’m going to be generous and suggest the more problematic LTs are being kept off the road during the school holidays when we have more spare deckers around. I am aware that spare parts are becoming increasingly difficult to come by as well That said, I’ve driven four different LTs in the last few days that had no issues whatsoever which, believe me, has been very rare over the last few months. Our engineering team are doing very well to keep things going as they are Apparently V’s maintenance on them was absolutely shocking when they had them, so it’s probably not surprising they’re in pretty poor condition. Go Ahead have still not managed a full runout on the 5 yet and Metroline are having issues providing a full allocation across the 17 and 390 despite extras moving in from Go Ahead. The 8 and 55 also have nearly daily subs.

I actually think this argument is wearing a bit thin ... they have had the vehicles for 6+ months now ... if the Stagecoach maintenance policy has not yet kicked in to improve these vehicles (if indeed there was a problem) yet, then there is something wrong with the policy. They are just as culpable now as RATP.

The rental is a nominal £1 per annum per vehicle. Hardly worth the effort to reclaim that. For me it depends on whether Stagecoach is applying a general repair standard or their own repair criteria to the vehicles. If they are acceptable to the former then there is no case to answer for TfL or RATP on the latter. It would also depend on whether, highly unlikely though, TfL has a repair criteria for the LT and a list of acceptable/unacceptable repairs.

Why should Stagecoach be paying for the maintenance that RATP have presumably neglected to do especially if these buses are returning to RATP when the SL3 gets electrics?
