Does anyone know what the split for the 296/310 is for the E200 MMCs, I’d imagine 37526 will end up at NS sequentially would make sense. I just don’t know whether the 310 will take 5 and use the 4 17 reg from the W13 which gives the 296 8 MMCs or whether it’s a different ratio. We’ll find out tomorrow when the 310 starts!😁 I mean the 310 starts Sunday, today should be the last day that the last 2 68 reg E200 MMCs turn a wheel at (37538/37539) unless they transfer them tomorrow evening and work the 499 in the day. The 165 is fully E400 operated today so I imagine the 68 reg are simply covering defected 499 buses as usual.

Idk the situation regarding 310 at all but Yh! only yesterday I was saying that RM will be left with 2 spare single deckers. I think it’ll simply be covered by a E400 when the 165 fleet go to HK as the 346 will no doubt take priority with SDs as it can’t use doubles whereas the 499 can. Hope everyone on board is okay and not hurt. EDIT; 36603 is also VOR, unsure of the reason but as I said always one of the 499 batch VOR, so no spare SDs until they are fixed and back on the road. Interestingly one of the 499s duties isn’t tracking today there’s 7 buses out at this time and 36605 was not the 7th it was subbed off later in the day for one of the YX68s. Wonder if it’s a DD that’s not tracking, the school journey (which is also operation in half term) is not tracking but running as well.

On the flip it could be argued NS/RM are on the same boat they have 1 SD route that can take DD (296/499) and one that can’t (193/346) however both ones that can’t can take full sized SDs which are allocated to the 296/499 respectively.

Not to worry It was planned to start on Saturday 31st August but first day of operation has been deferred to Sunday 1st September. I don't think it has been said explicitly but it may be a nod to the Jewish Shabbat (Sabbath).

Do we know what buses will cover the W13 for its last week at HK? I think I am right in assuming its releasing some buses for the 310.

Depending on how many E200 MMCs are going to NS, I can see some 13-reg from NS going over as LI will need a few more classic E200s to have enough for the new PVR 36575 hasn’t been used in a week so could be a potential candidate and 4 MMCs so far have gone to NS and there were only 3 11 reg, the 246 doesn’t currently have a spare bus as its bus is at PD on the 380 currently and one VOR, (Yes I know the 246 is able to use DDs) so they may take from the 296 to cover elsewhere as well. We’ll see what happens by Sunday I know but thought I’d share my predictions.

PVR is 11, and 13 vehicles allocated - reasonably standard spare allocation…

Particularly as it is surely nearer T than WH. WH would probably offer a quicker travel time to/from a changeover point using the tube. If the route was at T, drivers would have to use the 20 to Loughton. Would be much quicker to get the W16 to Leytonstone then jump on the Central line to South Woodford. I think this was what was done when the 179 was previously at [T]
