3 buses out on the W14 despite having a PVR of 2, also I think the BZL on it was just a login, although I believe it's been confirmed to get them in the future anyway along with the W13. Clearly wasnt a login View AttachmentSeems I was wrong, they look quite good on the route!

That's because the W13 & W14 are jointly compiled. A small sample of vehicle workings switch between both routes during the day. Completely understandable, just saw it went back to 2 vehicles!

10.2 on W12, would be interesting to see, the longest bus the route has had 😂 It’s stayed out as well I wonder if 10.2’m are cleared for the route as well. Saw a few 9.6m E200s quite full over the weekend so I imagine the 8.7m E100s may struggle with capacity if 9.6s are filling up.

If the W12 continues to load well with its 9.6’a over the next few months it should make TfL consider of 8.5’s are really appropriate (the new E100 is 8.5 not 8.7, even worse!😨)

If the W12 continues to load well with its 9.6’a over the next few months it should make TfL consider of 8.5’s are really appropriate (the new E100 is 8.5 not 8.7, even worse!😨) Overall this idea is pretty stupid in the first place, I understand the 549 change but everything else was a big load of crap… They could’ve just extended the 549 to Whipps Cross, increased its frequency to hourly etc and actually keep the 549 number and the W routes wouldn't have had to change. Just felt like an excuse to get rid of the Solos imo

Combinding that with TFLs love for change for change sake… The Solos have nothing to do with the changes at all and would have been removed regardless of whether the route switched around or not. Like with the vast majority of these changes, it’s purely from a financial perspective because TfL prefers to be an accountancy firm these days.

The route is relatively well loaded 3 days in already from what I have seen so far at various times. This comes as no surprise to me to be honest.

Combinding that with TFLs love for change for change sake… I cannot speak for the 549/W14 change but the W12 change is not change for change sake to me, it tracks with previous Waltham Forest Development Papers to improve frequency to Coppermill Lane. It also partially fulfills improvement previously suggested on the Leytonstone Station-Whipps Cross Hospital corridor, which was proposed back Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park consultation by way of a 339 extension to Whipps Cross.

The route is relatively well loaded 3 days in already from what I have seen so far at various times. This comes as no surprise to me to be honest. The frustrating thing is most of us here see the downfall of these changes as soon as the consultation landed. It’s amazing no one at TfL picked up on the potential downside to these changes before they were implemented.
