It certainly looks better with silver wheels than the painted green version IMO, if only Arriva did the same to the HAs.

The 58 currently has 8 Electrics and 4 Hybrids! Think today must be the first day no VNs are in use!
Is there any particular reason why the 58 still doesn't have a full compliment of electrics?

Saw quite a few with the wheel caps installed today - 12503 is one I remember and there's another low numbered one.

5 conventionals out on the SL3, is this normal?

5 conventionals out on the SL3, is this normal? Yes, pretty much. Although the fact they can’t run a full complement of LTs on a reduced Sunday allocation speaks volumes about the state of those LTs!

At this rate, I wonder whether those could be the first batch of LTs to be withdrawn, rather than reallocated to another route?

I am not convinced they are that bad as RATP seemed to manage with them before they moved across to Stagecoach. It’s interesting operating companies seem to struggle with LTs when they move from one company to another. Metroline hardly seem to use the 4 or 5 LTs that recently moved over from Go Ahead.

Why would Stagecoach lie about the condition of the LTs though? Particularly as the amount of conventional buses on the SL3 means they're having to put single deckers on the 61 regularly, which they will be fined for doing (unless TfL are letting them off based on the circumstances), so will clearly not be doing this by choice.

I never said anyone was lying we can only go by what people post here. I found it interesting that conventional deckers were blinded from day one so it seems they had no issues with using conventional deckers. It will be interesting so see how the LTs perform when they move on from the SL3. I don’t want to get drawn into further arguments here so I will leave my views at that.

It’s worth noting that the SL3 is a far more intensive route to deploy vehicles on than, for example, the 9s and 211s. RATP I believe also had fairly generous spare vehicle margins across their LT routes (when they had multiple) which would mask any availability issues. There’s also the question of different standards and procedures between operators.

Saw 82079 (One of the Electroliners for the 257) on a delivery run along M11/A406 around 18:30 today, presumably heading to WH to be sorted there as it didn't get off the slip road at Redbridge Roundabout and went straight on the A406 towards Ilford.

Has the 225s batch been confirmed as I have seen people suggest its the Ex-W14 buses however there are only 3x 65 reg and I would have thought the 12 reg would be too old being 13 years old. It's also been mentioned on here that the 310 is anticipated to use the Ex-W14 batch and this is all well and good if the W routes have converted by then but as things stand the BZLs have been really slow entering service on most routes they have been ordered for. I also believe there are still batches to be built before the W13/W14 ones.
