Naaah hand me downs are no bad thing in todays era. I don’t think anyone would argue that the 200’s current B9TLs are far better than those cruddy MetroDeckers. which got pulled off the road. Although the 97 did get royally screwed over with hand me down StreetDecks, you can’t get worse than those 😂 I do wonder which route had it worse, the 227 or 97. 97 definitely, the StreetLites are terrible but those StreetDecks are on another level. Ironically the 227 didn’t get hand me downs, it got a brand new fleet!! But it’s an absolutely shining example of how newer doesn’t necessarily mean better. From the best single decks going to the absolute worst

19872 on the 86 covering the LI duty today, probably the most interesting thing on the route nowadays. flic.kr/p/2qjP6pM

I was finally able to check out the BZL deckers on the 58 and honestly I was really not impressed at all. They look quite ugly seeing them in person but more importantly the interior has several things that make it impractical or just unpleasant to use.

From the best single decks going to the absolute worst The 97 hasn't had new buses on that route for over 30 plus years now. Every year it's been existing buses. 2000 was the funniest one for me where it got cast offs from the 25. That route has been donating buses to other routes for years whilst collecting the shiny toys 😂

There is a TMP and a BZL on the 678, part of me says that the TMP is also a BZL? If the two move over to the 58, they can convert to a fully electric operation. EDIT: W13 is also using a BZL from the 277! What bus did you see from the 277 batch?
The allocation planned changed as below
Not sure if this is permanent but probably no need to swap buses as they are all the same for the 58 , 277 and D7.

86213 was out on the route! Not sure if it was from D7 or 277, but this was after the allocations were changed.

Route 61 still ongoing with one or two enviro200 LX12 every day this week and last week as well.
TB must be having problem with LT's at the moment as taking DD buses off from 61/261 to be using on route SL3.
I thought east London must have plenty of spare DD enviro400 now from other routes when once passed to electric buses?

What do you make of the BD11s then? both of them aren't lookers, but i personally prefer the BZL from a passenger perspective having been on the GA demo to the BD11. both have grown on me but the front of the BD11 is unforgivable.

I agree I think BD11 has grown on me to when I saw on Tiktok was at South circular heading towards BX for 321 it had TFL spec not glass stairs rare. It depends on operators how they want to bus to look

Has the 678 converted to electric MCV, 3 out of 4 buses using the electrics?

Has the 678 converted to electric MCV, 3 out of 4 buses using the electrics? The 678 uses anything and everything, it’s a lucky dip to what goes out each day. I’d imagine with the BZLs being concentrated at LI for the time being it means the 678 is able to use a few.

Rumour has it, Catford will be receiving some more Wright Electroliners which will be used on the 47. I imagine this is probably an interim allocation whilst they're waiting for HK to be wired up for the 242 as IIRC the corresponding buses are just sitting in storage at WH/LI/HK (somewhere)

For same reasons many other garages had to wait or still awaiting.
