There is a TMP and a BZL on the 678, part of me says that the TMP is also a BZL? If the two move over to the 58, they can convert to a fully electric operation. EDIT: W13 is also using a BZL from the 277! I have lost track but I thought the 58 was also now using the 277 batch of buses? Can't keep up!

To be honest I doubt 275 would convert fully hybrid since I dont think theres even gonna be enough spare (238 needs them from 277) so i maybe see a half hybrid (YX67) & half EV allocation but honestly think thats the most that would happen and its 99% more likely gonna go full electric anyway Overall I’m sure Stagecoach have a plan for them… I agree mate 100%. More likely to indeed go EV as the 257 will already be so soon. Out of curiosity, what is the status of the 179 and what that likely to go EV? Wouldnt be surprised if Stagecoach just get EVs for 179 & RM routes when theyre up. 165 179 252 365 256 496.

I wouldn't be too surprised if some of the RM routes used the 425's hybrids - the 56 seems like the ideal route for them, but if they aren't used on there then I think some of the RM routes might use them.

True although we just have to wait and see… I think even sending them to 97 to oust the streetdecks could be another option in theory

Not sure 275 will get a 7 year contract with new electrics given the current diversion due to bridge closure. Would make sense to go three years and reassess situation and costings.

Happy to say that the 277 and 488 have reverted to 'Dalston Junction' as the ibus, and not 'Dalston, Forest Road'.
I am quite late, but I thought it would be good to point out.
Not even sure why it happened in the first place..

Whilst I fully agree with you, would the bdiders not factor in the diversion when making a bid?

They will probably change again in a few months,

Whilst I fully agree with you, would the bdiders not factor in the diversion when making a bid? TfL would not be keen to issue out that ITT. If another operator wins the route, it'd be to the scheduled 275 timetable and not for the current diversion. The new company would then be on the phone to TfL very quickly I'd imagine to ask for concessions/financial remediation for essentially selling a product they didn't advertise. I.e, asking to run a route that wasn't to the agreed timetable. Broadmead Bridge is starting to become another example of our creaking infrastructure by catalyst of underinvestment. I bet TfL are happy it isn't their problem, they already have a broken bridge in Hammersmith to deal with! 😂😂

Any confirmation on type ordered for 247.
I know 242 buses were mentioned but is that still the case?

They will probably change again in a few months, The stupid changes have been down to contracts managers (maybe just one) at TfL). There used to be people in charge who understood the importance of all passenger information being consistent across timetables, stops and vehicles. Whovever is doing it doesn't realise how long it will take to change all the routes terminating at a busy location.

The 275 already 2 or 3 Hybrids from the 56s PVR cut so if the MMCs come in for it, I predict a few more Hybrids from PD will top up cos the 422 is gonna be a full Diesel contract next year. As far as I’m aware the 275 on paper is still 100% diesel, if anything I can see the MMCs heading to PD ousting E400s as most routes there are not far into their contracts and practically all routes are allocated hybrids. The 275 is up for tender later this year and there aren’t enough complaint hybrids at T to convert the route fully to hybrid operation, so I can see it becoming electric if retained, not hybrid. I really do hope so, the 275 has always been the poor relation in the bus world, hand me downs from other routes for years, only ever having brand new buses specifically for it once in its entire history (Stagecoach).

Naaah hand me downs are no bad thing in todays era. I don’t think anyone would argue that the 200’s current B9TLs are far better than those cruddy MetroDeckers. which got pulled off the road. Although the 97 did get royally screwed over with hand me down StreetDecks, you can’t get worse than those 😂
