Bringing this video back from the 25. I rewatched it today in my spare time from start to finish and I got a little bit teary eyed from 1:13:47 - 1:14:49. Knowing we'll never get them moments like that in London. I'm proud and happy to say I was around in that era. That really was a you just had to be there moment. youtu.be/T4UImkXgHk8?si=len8ISx-MkDs0blKI think I should let it go now but dxmn it's so hard man. Good times good times.

Believe me I feel the exact same way as you do! I am a very emotional person and often look back at my fond memories of buses I have had over 30+ years! Not easy but somehow I try to look forward not behind. The buses just are not and will not be the same anymore but it is what it is.

Wow 1999 - Even captured my old work place towards the end that was open 24/7 back in the day. I really liked the early days when First Capital took over the 25 and used Metrobuses.
Now feel very depressed that was a quarter of a century ago

Now feel very depressed that was a quarter of a century ago I would love to go back to that era again. Whoever said buses would get better after that sold a big dream to me. When they were around I'll admit I didn't value them as much as I thought they would be on the route for a long time little did I know they'd move to NP within a year.

To be fair, I always hated the Metrobus so literally everything after it (apart from the Optare Olympus) was better than the Metros on the 25. There was at least one driver on the 25 who gave each Metro on the 25 a name and wrote it somewhere in the cab with permanent marker. One was called "Lucks Revenge" after the supervisor who looked after the N25s for all the years it was at Capital. I grew up in the 80s (certified Group Old Fart here,) and was lucky enough to work at Capital Citybus and Limebourne in the late 90s and early 00s. However, as much as the "old days" were mostly good, I can't wait to see what happens to the industry next. Give me a BZL on the 58 over a Routemaster or Titan any day.

Who knows I may come around with these newer buses now. Though true story in 1999 I wanted to get the trident on the 25 around Manor Park and then I was so upset when the Metrobus pulled up. I literally tried to ask my mum to wait a bit but she said NO we're getting this bus to go home now

Saw an Evoseti on the 86 earlier today, checked on LVF turns out 3 of them are on the route. They look really good on the route.
58 also seems to be growing in terms of using BZLs from the D7/277!
On another note, there are multiple garages to be electrified, but are there any in Stagecoach that after all tenders recently released still will not be seeing any electrics? I think KB is the only one?

I think KB is the only one? Yeah, KB is the last remaining Stagecoach garage without any plans to be wired up yet. For all operators, this is the list of garages not wired up or planned to be yet: Abellio - none Arriva - CT, DT, DX, EC, GY GAL - MG, SI Metroline - G, HD, SG RATP - AV, RP, V*, TV Stagecoach - KB *has a few chargers installed

Do Stagecoach EV's need to have a break or something on Sundays ? Notice on Sundays there are more Diesels/Hybrids out on EV routes , 173 always has a few see today the 86 has a Evoseti out on it and 323 usually has a real E200 running and the 174 is nearly full Diesel today ?
