If the SWs can’t handle the 412 then that is honestly pathetic, I know Streetdecks are generally rubbish but even the oldest DWs and Ts like the LJ08s have been able to crawl up the worst hills. Think it’s more that their reliability is really bad. I have seen SWs abandoned at Golders Green and Brent Cross countless times, it would have been a running gag to post those in their Clapped Out Buses thread, when others have already done so. 😅 Hard to say performance wise. SW2 was OK, but SW7 was one of the most shocking buses I had rode on to date when I had to use the 102 (slow and an aggressive rattle box) I think I've stumbled on the reason - they're going to use their engines to keep the Streetlites at TH and N going

Some of the DW’s at TC are performance restricted, very very bad on some of the hills on 412/60, so wondering how bad or even worse the SW’s are. Can’t be as bad as people make it. The difference is the DW’s don’t have reliability issues so even the ones that are performance restricted would still operate far more reliably in comparison. Streetdecks are well known for their sluggishness - the ones in Brighton are no better and they have even more taxing routes to use like the 12X Brighton & Hove is replacing the entire Coaster fleet with new ADL Enviro400s. I understand the Streetdecks will be redeployed on the 25 (Universities) which is busy, but geographically much less demanding!

Now, presumably TC, have put out SW4 on the Overground replacement service. First time I can recall a SW being used on a rail replacement service.

Maybe these will end up in Manchester displacing the loan vehicles back to their original homes allowing the covering DOE to be released for scrap.

Hopefully the youtuber Frozzles will upload the "STREETDECK THRASHED TO WITHIN INCH OF HER LIFE On Rail Replacement" video soon, somwe can see the 39mph top speeds

According to a TC driver elsewhere, the SWs are only temporary there and for the 312.
That would explain why the one I saw earlier was "banditised"

SW1, 7 and 8 are still at AD. SW1 still has its blinds in and SW8 is blinded for rail replacement. Who knows where they will end up. Also I just saw SW3 on the move heading east on the North Circular Road….

Does anyone know the registration of ES051? I not as confident as I was a few weeks ago that it will be part of the South London batch. Waiting to see what chassis number 254 is when it appears on BLOTW

Does anyone know the registration of ES051? ES050 and ES051 hadn't been given provisional 23 registrations by mid-August which makes me suspect strongly they will have 73 registrations. All up to ES049 were registered by mid-August.
