Wonder if Arriva may use the 242 HVs to top up the 158 and retain it with existing hybrids until 2030. They could be used for the SL1

I suspect the W3 will remain with diesels and the HA's will divert to SL1in December with the W3 taking either the 242 HV's in February or HA'S released from the 133/333 in January. (This is pure speculation).

They have a lot of work coming up which they could use the route 242 HVs to retain a route like route 66. Depends on where the W3/279 T's end up, I'd of assumed they would be sent to replace the 09 reg DW's and T's as a stop gap since theres around 52 of them between the two routes.

Gemini 3’s to GY perhaps? 66 and or 103 retain? Or the 194? 194's exactly what I thought seeing as both routes have the same PVR

The HA's have the TfL spec interior your referring to and have the same body as the electrics your also referring to

Any idea what buses thay might use to run superloop 1 route, would new electrics not be a good idea as a further improvement to zero emission buses in the suburbs?

I wonder if the upcoming Croydon tranches don't go Arriva's way, would Croydon (TC) garage be at risk of being sold?
If the 194/250/255/289/627 are all lost (I expect the 410 to be retained with the existing SLS's) then everything at TC could easily fit into TH and N. TH has had chargers installed for the 64/612 so there shouldn't be any risk to it (I'm aware there are chargers at TC for the 312 but they are old technology now) and the 312 is being extended to Purley Old Lodge Lane so the facility to turn the route there will also no longer be needed.

Interestingly I think Arriva’s Croydon routes are actually the safest, not for the reason I think they’ll be really competitive, but moreso that the competition won’t have space for all of them. GAL are now chocca in all of south London, ditto Abellio. The only TC route I could maybe see going is the 194 over to Stagecoach, but I think the rest will be pretty safe
