The driver of SLS23 witnessed everything that had happened and really affected the driver so much, crying and everything. Went off sick, parked up the bus and went. A horrible and tragic event, hope everyone is receiving the support they need. SLS23 hasn’t been used since, and it wouldn’t surprise me if both this and DW310 are sent for a long spell in the Met Police’s vehicle compound, to join another Arriva bus, T318. I don’t think they will, neither vehicle was directly involved in the incident, unlike T318. So presumably once the CCTV footage is downloaded and forensics are done with DW310 to establish both were on the bus they’ll both likely get released back to Arriva.

I think the key difference will be that T318 is a key piece evidence that jury members will likely need to see or the solicitors will want to use to establish the events, so it is part of the actual chain of events and the cause. In the case of DW310 using CCTV from within the bus and the surrounding area should be enough to establish the vehicle as part of the events but not involved directly in the events. I do hope Arriva offer both drivers support in terms of counselling etc. I’d dare say it would be good for TfL to mandate basic first aid training for all employees and sub contractors, if they don’t already. It may have helped and could help in the future.

Hope the driver of the 60 and this driver are getting the support they need. I echo this too - my company failed to do the same for some of our staff after they witnessed a stabbing outside our shop where the victim died so I really hope the two drivers get whatever support they require

SLS23 is currently in TH, with police around it, investigating, and a T bus showing 64 which picked up the offender. All being looked at by police

Well, it's the last day of Arriva running the 450 tomorrow, does anyone know where the SLS will be going, whether they will go to TH?

Well, it's the last day of Arriva running the 450 tomorrow, does anyone know where the SLS will be going, whether they will go to TH? SLS5 seems like it has moved over to TH today It must have just moved over, I was there at 5pm and wasn't there. I have a theory they could be going on 255 but I don't think so because none of the 255 drivers have been type trained on SLS yet

They're inadequate capacity wise for the route.
