Could some of the ENS’s not transfer to DT to replace the 09 ENX/L’s? The final letters of the bus codes (S then X/L) suggest this will not happen. I would have expected the 289 ENXs (after the new contract starts) to finish off the B15 contract at DT, with others replacing the ex-Stagecoach ENLs on the 166.

29s got a two year contract extension from what I heard and no its HVs will need replacement for its next contract. Hopefully its HVs will be retained as interim replacements for DWs which could then replace older Arriva stock outside London. They would be too old for any new contract.

I didn't mean for a new contract. I meant to conclude an existing term on a contract where some DWs are used. Route 158 and Bexleyheath routes are some examples.

Could the 450 sls go to the 410 amd it's buses to the 318 to remove the older buses from it? The 318 already has the ENRs although they are becoming a problem for the 318 In what way? Is it ENR reliability that has given the likes of EN13 a stay of execution? The ENRs do look a state and need some TLC. ENR2 looks like it's just been driven out of a breakers yard, the paintwork is as patchy as Everton's defence . It will give the SLS's some thing to do as I'm sure there will be spares left if they replace ENS's on the 410. The 318 would only need 4 as a top up for the ENRs

Aren't the ENS's too long for the 318? ENSs, ENRs and SLSs are all roughly the same length ENS is 9.6 & ENR is 9.7 so ENS would definitely be suitable for the 318. ENR & ENS MMCs are exactly the same apart from one has one door and the other has 2 doors I’m pretty sure

Depends which part of the route you had the ENX on. On the Purley Way these things go at a snails pace! They are the slowest batch of E200's in London that I've ever experienced and even the three that moved over from E are just as bad. I do wonder however if it's just a case of TH not cleaning out their filters, but either way this batch haven't been looked after well at all.

I used to be on the 289 rota, and I came off it just based on how bad the buses are, especially ENX7. It doesn't move until the accelerator pedal is all the way to the floor, and the hill after the Colonnades doesn't achieve more than 15mph and is a 40mph road. I cannot wait for the 289 tender so that it can get proper buses

Everyone is just waiting patiently, while type training for the ES is yet to begin

I know E200s are not great, but this was exceptionally bad. I generally find the longer examples are worse than the shorter ones, the ENS on the 410 are nowhere near as bad in comparison.
