Looks like DX gets to live another day. Something interesting of note I saw the retention of a swath of the south London routes mentions "With almost 80 new double-deck ZEV and 10 new single deck ZEV on these routes, our ZEV footprint is expanding at pace across London." I'm probably reading too much into this but why ZEV and not just EV? Could this mean we're getting our first Hydrogen powered buses?

ZEV and EV basically mean the same thing, if they meant hydrogen they would say FCEV. Also they wouldn’t be the first as the 7 uses fully hydrogen powered EVs.

ZEV I assume means Zero Emission Vehicle and EV means Electric Vehicle. However, all the tenders show new electrics— nothing concerning hydrogens

Guessing ZEV stands for Zero Emission Vehicles ... probably the Arriva corporate speak for such vehicles. Would not read anything into it.

I think he meant from 450 I didn’t mean the 450 I thought the award for the 410 said retained with new single deckers. We have probably all done it in the past.

My quick rough calculations, assuming the is no ES51 for the 417 and all Electroliners ordered (big assumption I know), I have the L-N batch going to ES113, and the batch from these awards to ES192 ... so 79 DDs, which is almost 80! I was hoping to get ES194 on the 194, but just fell short!

I have heard from from a garage supervisor at TC that the 194 apparently will remain at TC. I haven't seen the official but going by what a friend of mine told me is that the 194 was grouped in with the TH routes.

Good news for Arriva London retained all the routes and won SL2 amount of works lost good to see them bounce back DX staying open let's hope they win 5 15 115 N15 retained 150 175 move 66 to DX

Apparently GY is quite a low cost base due to being outside London, so I’d assume moving routes from there into London would increase running costs, even if the garage is a fair trek from most of the routes
