That part of town comes under Enfield. There's quite a bit of development going on, the London Waste power station on the other side of the A406 road will be gradually decommissioned, they are moving facilities over to demolished and cleared land (was old business units near Mothercare, knocked down). There's a drive-in cinema and other events going on there. I don't know why they don't on knock down the Mothercare and move EC next to Harbert Road, better for 34 driver changes and access to the A406. As for earlier fantasy of WN giving up the W4, knowing AR's maintenance record, there's more chance of Pochettino going to Manchester United at the moment the ENN issue may get solved, but ratty ENs from the 318 breaking down in Oakthorpe Park won't be a good image for the W4 Might ask here but what happened to EN18? That's been gone for almost 2 months. I saw it in Tottenham High Road a couple of weeks ago- odd! www.flickr.com/photos/16299801@N03/53522836124/

Saw one of the 61 reg Ts with 289 on the actual blinds. However, only on the front number— everything else was on black blank. I wonder if this was a set from one of the 61 reg ENXs which went to TC

I covered in the Ranting thread the disruption I experienced with Stagecoach. I might have omitted how enthusiast-unfriendly it was of them to curtail the Electroliner at Surrey Quays while allowing the Smart Hybrid behind it continue through to Canada Water.
Conversely, I had better experiences with Arriva. Despite needing some buses even from AD for the Rail Replacement Service from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction, they still placed several ex-Stagecoach HVs into normal service. For my 29 curtailed at Tottenham Court Road - replicating terminating journeys from Saturdays back in the day, including my ride on 14.2.81 - the ibus info had been correctly programmed to say "29 to Tottenham Court Road". (In contrast, when my Metroline 139 last October was curtailed at Piccadilly Circus due to the imminent Palestinian march) the ibus announcement still mentioned Waterloo).
I had read online that similar rallies has been due in Finsbury Park and Mornington Crescent later in the day. I therefore timed my 29 ride to be before these started. While it was not Arriva themselves who would have posted that, I did of course find it helpful, thereby improving my vibes for my 29 ride.
As such, I am feeling happier with Arriva than Stagecoach in London at the moment. Although not set in stone, I feel I am more likely to come to south London in the Autumn for Arriva routes 319, 417 & 432 at least (among other routes) than go to Romford for mainly Stagecoach routes.

You're probably right there, AE needs to shift them off somewhere and it just happened to be N that has space to park them and keep them maintained.

Thanks

She's back on the 318 with EN20! I can't see her leaving just yet, despite EN13's apparent demise. Interesting photo, they took the DB Company bit off the front panel but not off the sides I wonder when some of the HV's at Tottenham will get refurbished as they are starting to look a little ratty from the outside? Perhaps minus their DB Company strapline...

Don't know if EN37 will ever return to the 318 as that bus hasn't been in use at Enfield for a while. I imagine EN18 is currently sat as back up leading to occasional use and EN13 seemingly withdrawn with 7 ENRs and 2 MMCs alongside EN20 at AR.

They will rest an MMC or two and put ENs 18 and 20 out on the route. Might be quieter as it's half term so they will probably get the last few miles in as they turn 16 years old in March (if Feb 2008 registered) and will probably be gone this year. Though there's more chance of Sheffield United bagging a Champions' League spot than Enfield sending another couple of MMC's to displace the elderly pair

I like vehicles. Buses, trains, cars, all of them. I made a song out of Stagecoach too.

It didn't track on LVF on its last 2 days but was definitely out.

I believe the one’s intended for the SL2 are all at DX.
