Well then there is your answer! Go Ahead probably order the blinds months ago the 366 sets had other routes on them. The ex D7 WVLs have the 157, 262 and 473 in them. Not sure you can make the same comparison to Arriva and the SL2 as they haven’t had to order blinds and believe they are having indeed fitted to older blind sets. Stagecoach managed it with less time for the SL3, so why can’t Arriva do it? Why didn’t Arriva order them at the same time as the ones for the SL5 or SL1? It’s really a shambles and a very poor showing from Arriva today. In a word a clusterf**k. Typical Barking. Stagecoach or Go Ahead should of got this route

SL2 has started questionably with Arriva. We see buses have not completely been blinded yet and are simply only showing the SL2 numbering, I believe only HA45 and 52 have been branded and the rest are yet to get them. But I do believe most of the buses will already have received USB chargers by now! There's also an appearance of DW333 on the route! The service of the route seems to be generally okay though, but we see young enthusiasts fighting and pushing around to make a FRV of the route. Overall, not the worst but DX could do better Litterally, Arriva wasnt ready for the SL2.

If contracts were working to the 9th, then they may not have been able to have been changed.

Sorry to say this to anyone that works for Arriva but they are an absolute shambles. Countless buses and routes that have stickers on in the windscreen, poorly prepared buses and dirty. Pretty much every company that has a Superloop route have been spot on with prep and blinds. Today, on the SL2 debut, not only do they put out an unbranded bus but it's not even blinded. Yeah, you can say a bus is better than no bus but this is the first day. Stagecoach have run some unbranded buses since the SL3 launch but at least it blinded. Exactly and perhaps it's no surprise that Arriva get so much criticism on here, the 312 today was ridiculous with no buses correctly blinded as far as I could see, and many people will be unaware that the 312 now goes to Old Lodge Lane. When the SW's operated on the 312 for a while all they had were bits of paper in the windscreen, one even operated on the 312 for several days with Enfield on the destination blind.

That is terrible but not surprising the Slipboard Kings are at it again all those HAs that were sitting around could have gotten new blinds, let alone branding I am assuming FRV is First Ride Video? I would've assumed the same thing! But it actually just means a Full Route Visual, a video displaying each place the route goes and how it gets there. Definitely agree with you, they had quite some time to get the branding done! no one has mentioned the 157 with go ahead still not blinded properly and its been a while since they took over.

Even if slipboards were the only option today, they could've done a much better job. The font is a smaller size than the fleet number, nothing at all on the side or read, and on a couple of buses were completely obscured by the wipers. Surely they have a few old sets laying around to get at least some of the buses blinded? They would be able to show Norwood Junction and Purley. The same goes for the power blinded Ts on the 289. These could've used the sets from the ENXs as they seem to be mostly route bound anyway. Not having a dog at Arriva specifically, as I know the other operators are just as bad!

Abellio today had buses on the S4 with incorrect blinds From what i heard theyy also did have some S4s that had the correct blinds, it wasn't a blanket issue like whatever happened with Arriva.

I am sorry but I don't believe this as TfL are all over the Superloop and think other factors are at play. As others have said LOTS seemed to suggest the start date was going to be the 9th March but they could be a admin / typo on their part.
