I don’t think an order has even been publicly confirmed for the 243! It might get something else!🤣 Yes still nothing confirmed for the 34/41/141/341/SL1 either. I hope very much they are Electroliners but after Metroline went back to the City I don't hold out hope if its proving too popular for a realistic lead time. I hope they go for BZLs, I think it would be good considering their close link with Volvo!

I don’t think long lead times are too much of an issue for these routes. I imagine the reason why these routes haven’t had confirmed orders is because of the garages not being ready to accommodate them. An order of electroliners has possibly been placed but they can probably go right back to the queue, it’s unlikely Arriva will be able to store all those vehicles to best to just take delivery of them when they can go straight into service. With the 150 and 175 dependent on getting their hybrids when they’re ready to be released from the aforementioned routes getting their electrics, it’s possible that the outgoing diesels could end up serving a significant portion of the 3 year 150/175 contracts!

Honestly I can't wait for the Stagecoach Double Decker BZLs to enter service, it was a great choice. The single decker versions I I am yet to try them but I'd imagine they'd be just as amazing.

Haven’t done a kite yet though so can’t compare with those, but can’t see how they’d be better than the BZL. There does seem to be something putting off operators from the double deck BZL though. Metroline haven’t plumped for it yet, only a moderately sized order from Stagecoach so far. The range does seem a bit inferior to the competition though

It is genuine, a few are built. Apparently it was being tested going to another facility.

I'll be looking out for that bus when it eventually enters service on the 279 - the Enviro 400s are getting very tired at this point, with graffiti and general dirtiness on almost all of the buses I have used on the 279. I'm looking forward to not having to ride the old Enviro 400s anymore, although I might get some nostalgia from riding them every single day!

On the contrary, when I was specifically waiting for a DW on the 279 a couple of weeks ago, I had to let a few T’s go and they didn’t look that bad - far better than the ones at TH which really do look and sound tired in comparison

On the contrary, when I was specifically waiting for a DW on the 279 a couple of weeks ago, I had to let a few T’s go and they didn’t look that bad - far better than the ones at TH which really do look and sound tired in comparison I've only ridden on a few of the T's at TH, and I have to agree from my limited observations that those are probably in worse state than the 279's ones. Though I think the upper deck of the buses are generally in a far worse condition than the lower deck, and in most of the Enviro 400s I have ridden on, there's at least a few seats - especially on the upper deck - with graffiti or some stickers on the back of it (often on the window as well). It was fun to play graffiti roulette on them, though I suppose it would be far more boring on the 250 and 289 . I wouldn't usually specifically wait for a DW, as they're a relatively rare sight on the 279, but if I'm really annoyed, I might get an LT on the 349 (some people may take offence to this) and switch to a DW on the 121 if I need to go further than Ponders End.

Surely the ex 333 HVs could be used on the 150/175 until more hybrids are free as surely not all of the HV's at BN are being used/needed with some of the existing T's and DW's being used as spares. Or they might prioritise some electrics to get as many hybrids free for DX
