Probably not a downgrade mechanically also the Ts would likely be better than some of the more boring DWs, I really hope that they don’t get rid of the more lively ones in this case Those Ts are much worse, theyre all very limped and tired after all those years on W3. Any DW at GY beats them. Tbh none of them are truly boring in my eyes as I’d prefer them over limped Ts but I respect your opinion I do agree that a DW is generally better though. When I last rode the W3 the bus was struggling massively but the Topodyn made it quite thrilling, hence me thinking they’d be more interesting than a DW which doesn’t have kickdown. Also nice to get more E400s in Romford which aren’t the boring Stagecoach Voiths

so the 158 is now only route at EC DW225 was one of the last buses to finish on the 217 before Go Ahead took over today I assume they will continue on in rail replacement work or 123 / 158 spares, but most will be withdrawn. Interesting that the 4 HVs at EC seem to be off the road today, none currently on the 158.

There are 9 HVs currently not in use that were at EC, being: HV14, HV17, HV20, HV57, HV58, HV59, HV64, HV65, HV66 I recon some may move to WN making the 144 fully G2 HV operated.

In total, there's been about 9 HVs 5 DWs and 25 Ts last used at EC on the 217 and Rail Replacement. Giving the total of 39 spare buses.

Depends - They all had kickdown enabled when they were new to the 38s and 59s - however upon refurb at DX and GY most of them have actually had kick disabled. Of course theres still several that have it however, just a shame its not the whole batch. Important to note they all can be manipulated in the gears anyway If I remember, all of these still have kick enabled DW206 DW209 DW218 DW219 (at EC) DW221 DW232 DW241 DW242 DW245 DW246 DW247 DW248 DW250 DW331 DW333

The refugees from the 38 that ended up at BN were much better in comparison. Kick down was retained when some of the 59 batch moved to N briefly including DW282 whose acceleration was stupidly good so it must of been DX & GY who disabled some
