DW501/502 were transferred before the tender results were announced for route 370/103/66 so I assume were covering for unfit older DWs of which DW212 is still VOR. I’m guessing potentially a few more DW could need transferring to GY for the increases as:
Route 66 PVR: 14 | TVR: 16 Route 370 PVR: 13/14 | TVR 15/16 Route 103 PVR: 14 | TVR: 16
In total: PVR: 41/42 TVR: 47/48
GY have DW201-DW246 + DW501/DW502 = 48 however DW212 is on long term VOR if it’s even coming back. Bringing the total down to 47 and the 248 uses at least 2 DWs each day as it’s LTs seem to be very unreliable which would leave it at 45 which just about covers the PVR for all DW routes and the older DWs do seem to seem to be more prone to break downs and periods off road at the moment, I’ve seen a lot of DWs on the 103 go mechanical ranging from a day to a week which obviously lowers garage spares.

Keep in mind abt a month to a few weeks ago 248 was fairing even worse with the LTs. There were always abt 4-6 DWs on the route daily. So obviously that doesnt help that the LTs can have periods of being unfit too But yeah as much as I love the 09/59 reg DWs (theyre very quick, nippy & fun buses to ride) Obviously as theyre getting older, theyll be less reliable in the long term from a mecanical pov.

Traffic was quite bad today but generally Aldwych is slow at the best of times and I know there are works at Farringdon that means buses are diverted and general traffic is increased. If you are not very early it can be a nightmare. I was disappointed by the lack of good communication on the terminations. There was one where the driver terminated unexpectedly and said 'Everybody Out', which was pretty poor.

A word on The lesser spotted 76 at Waterloo. Sad to say but the level of service to Waterloo is absymal since Arriva gained the route. My journeys from Dalston are regularly cut short at Aldwych and its laughable when it reaches the Strand that the inevitable final destination of this bus has changed will ring from the tannoy.. Yes I can access buses from there to waterloo but once settled on a bus you expect to reach your intended destination and its frustrating how often I have to change now. There was never this level of stopping and changing when Go Ahead NP ran the service and the 76 is contracted to finish at Lower Marsh. Pull your finger out Arriva. Very true - I have to agree. So many are curtailed to S’t Paul’s or Aldwych all the time

An order has probably been placed for all those routes (except maybe 196/SL6), but just not announced publicly. So to answer your question, no one knows yet what has been ordered or if anything has even been ordered yet, but hopefully we’ll find out soon

I'd guess that ES160 will likely be one of LY24FXN or LY24FXO but have nothing tangible beyond that guess.
