When the 2 went to Crystal Palace did it run in two sections? In 1954, 2A ran from West Norwood (via Tulse Hill, Brixton, Marble Arch and Swiss Cottage) to Golders Green, around 1974 a section of the route became part of the 172, and the remaing 2A between Victoria via Morval Rd, Dalberg Rd / Brixton Water Lane, Dulwich Rd and Robson Rd ran to West Norwood. There was also a 2B, though I don't know its route. 2B or not 2B, that is the question The 2A & 2B were what the 2 & 432 are today with the 2A Brixton to Palace and the 2B Baker Street to Norwood Garage. The 2 was replaced by the 322 and diverted away from Victoria to Elephant & Castle via Stockwell, Landowne Way & Vauxhall and extended from West Norwood, Rosendale to Crystal Palace via the current routing using roads previously unserved and demoted to minibuses from L class Olympians. The 2A & 2B were renumbered the 2, ran in overlapping sections and diverted away from Baker Street to Marylebone

I'm sure I read somewhere that Dublin Bus had severe issues with one of it's last batches for Wright bodied B5TLs where the front doors wouldn't close properly. As a passenger, I quite like the Electroliners on the 86 and 199, they seem quite well built and haven't (yet) got any of the "Wright rattles" that some earlier batches of buses have. I haven't travelled on any other batches of Electroliners so can't really comment on others. It seems Wright are clearly rattled by these allegations and are upset that their buses are no longer sought-after as in their heyday as they try to enter the already crowded SUV market to lure passengers from rivals' buses You going for the X6 now, after the barge R class Merc and tank BMW 5GT

I've never known Edmonton get new buses. According to the papers they're even bringing older stuff back The last new buses they had were the dual door 54 reg PDL's on route W15

This ain’t bad at all and quite thrashy in places. Phehaps a tad rattly though. I do wonder how often they can stay on the road though outside London when stuck to an open road for work out. That’s the real sticking point. A lot of Merseyrail rail replacement will be stop/start stuff in Liverpool/Wirral so they won't be on fast dual carriageways much (the bit you see on the video is the A565 just south of Formby....). I went on 7773/4 (SW3/4) on this rail replacement a week ago and found them rather pleasant to travel on. HTH Good to know and makes sense. Thanks for clarifying that up.👍 It seems also some issues with this batch as well due to usual breakdowns.

Wow. I was completely wrong there then. The VLW's weren't new for the 275, they were shifted over from another garage as initially, the 275 was expecting brand new VLA's which was then cancelled as Arriva decided to put the new VLAs on to the 123. I think the VLWs were around 2 years old by the time the 275 got them. There was some new VLW's but I cannot remember if they were for the 20 or 275 I remember VLWs (52 and 03 plate) on the 275 when I used to work around Highams Park... just before the route went to Stagecoach. The Edmonton DLAs used to go on the 20, usually spares from the 34. Later on DLPs were on the 20 occasionally

I think the 2 dwindled down to being every 20 mins with no evening or Sunday service or atleast no service North of Stockwell at those times.

The 259 HVs were new to EC in 2017 as well. I forgot about those, HV201-225 I think, they first went out on the 243 before their batch arrived. I remember some forgot to remove the black sticker covering the rear blind box Something for trivia at the dinner party :- Edmonton's HVs were among some of the first to carry Arriva's new logo They came on the 243 temporary so that 76s G1 and G2 HVs can move to the 50 and 133. 76 were using more DWs than HVs between January to March 2017 and on the last day, it only uses 3 HV G2s with the rest being DWs.

Going a bit off topic but this reminds me of 1999 when the 25 came to first and the W8 was meant to get it's tridents but what ended up happening was the 1 and 25 was prioritised first being Central London routes and that and the W8 had to keep it's metrobuses until there was enough tridents for the 25 (which also had it's part allocation of metrobuses as well).

Struggling to remember of my head unless I go back and check records I think it did, then as soon as HV201 and her sisters moved to EC, they then added EC codes and the then new logo on the sides. There were a couple of blunders from Wright when there were two HV's sharing the same 66 reg, I think one was in CT the other was in AR at the time
