Why is DT considered Arriva London North instead of Arriva London South when is located southeast London?

Why is DT considered Arriva London North instead of Arriva London South when is located southeast London? It was when GR, GY and DT were transferred to the Arriva London subsidiary, it was easier to incorporate all 3 into the same O license into the same subsidiary rather than having to deal with 2 different O licenses. Plus DT is closer to GY geographically than the other South garages

Not really, trying using some of those T’s Depends what T’s… 279 & W3 batch is pretty decent but the TH ones certainly arent… Its most sad for me to see them going as they've been here for years and are the last interesting buses on my local routes per say… GY is basically known for them at this point and them Ts dont have the same character as a DW for me personally. More or less the DWs being amazing for me and not any hatred for Ts Theyve had a good 15 years of London service, I will enjoy them as for long as I can now If T208 is like the rest of the ex W3 T’s, then they might be as bad as the TH lot. The 279 batch do seem ok as you mentioned

Was quite shocked when I saw 3x 370s running together at Emerson Park Station and they were all full upper and lower deck.

DW501 on route 248 right now, side blinds ripped in half with it saying ‘66 Le’ - Front blind says 248 North Romford, Parkside Avenue broken fabric on seats. Shame the only powerblinded bus that works all routes is not functioning, I mean the side blind has been ripped for at least a month, the front destination being broke is is new.

DW501 on route 248 right now, side blinds ripped in half with it saying ‘66 Le’ - Front blind says 248 North Romford, Parkside Avenue broken fabric on seats. Shame the only powerblinded bus that works all routes is not functioning, I mean the side blind has been ripped for at least a month, the front destination being broke is is new. Day ago saw DW half blinded blink and 66 heading towards north bound A406 toward Edmonton no passengers on board

(they still struggled up Knights Hill though ) Mostly Ts on the 217 today (save for HV66)

(they still struggled up Knights Hill though ) Mostly Ts on the 217 today (save for HV66) The Voith L's were worse than the ones that retained their semi-auto boxes - the semi auto's could climb hills steadily but effectively whereas the Voith L's in comparison severely struggled with hills. I remember riding one example up Central Hill that kept switching between first and second gear because it had so little power coupled with the fact those Voith L's had a habit of changing from gear 1 to 2 at low RPM. The gearbox on the T's isn't an issue - it seems to be more a maintenance issue as there are good ZF T's out there among the ex TH examples but it's just the batches have been run into the ground compared to similar examples at other operators (the ADE's on the whole and E's don't seem to be as badly effected). The 65 reg T's at DT are quick and have been since new.

Isn't it fair to say that Arriva have all but given up on their older buses. I've never seen so many of their elder buses looking shabby and worn out. On the 289 alone, there are 3 buses which have damaged or non-working blinds, one has 289 but no destination blind, another has a white background with 289 in black marker pen saying '289', another seems to be permennatly stuck on 2, side and back. This has been the situation since the route went DD months ago. I understand and in all honesty, a bit bored of the saying "better than a shabby bus than none at all" but come on, take some pride and look after buses irrespective of age. In contrast, Stagecoach's Enviro 61 plates seem to be in a much better condition than Arriva's equivalents.
