EA3 made an appearance at TH yesterday, for a charge. EA7 and 3 ES from Brixton also arrived at TH when I was taking over my bus. View Attachment why they came for charge at TH.what something wrong BN charge Seeing as only the tramshed has chargers(I'm pretty sure) , even just one failing would mean there wouldn't be enough to charge all the extra ESs they have. I would've thought they'd have prioritised the EAs & ESs for the 417 over the extra ESs they have for the 50.

Is AR in the process of being wired up? Noticed Philip Lane was shut at the junction of the High Road and coned off, with 230s diverting through West Green since Thursday night

Seeing as the first BZLs arrive in 3 months time, they don't want another Enfield scenario (though most of that was down to UKPN subcontractors and infrastructure problems)

How come TH thinks it's okay to block up bus stops near their garage with buses that aren't in service? Today there was HA19 on the 64 stand with its engine bay open and about 3-4 ESs blocking the rest of the stand and some of Thornton Heath Pond (Stop G) At the same time, there were 4 buses parked up on Thornton Heath Pond / Fairlands Avenue (Stop K) completely blocking that stop.
It's not a one off thing as two weeks ago there was a whole line of buses along London Road blocking Thornton Heath Pond (Stop G)

That is a normal occurrence. Buses are parked on Thornton Road because there is no space in the garage as the ES need charging and need the space to come out.

More common if there's a Night Bus route as well. Some of the ex 217 Ts are returning, plus new ES's yet to enter service, so perhaps it's just busical chairs and not enough space to carry out maintenance at the moment

Are there any works in the garage which is making the problem worse or is it purely because of the charging rota and late shifts for the shunters?

It's not a one off thing as two weeks ago there was a whole line of buses along London Road blocking Thornton Heath Pond (Stop G) It can be frustrating as many garages do this. This is a daily thing at Camberwell Green with buses from WL parked everywhere. Outside N it is more annoying because Ernest Avenue it is One Way Street, however rather than block the road the shunters will advise drivers to park up the buses and they will bring them in problems can occur during the run in of buses. A lot of buses parked up in the evening are also drivers who keep the same bus on meal breaks. I could say passengers should not wait outside bus garages in the evening but why should they not when the buses are advertised to stop there.

I wish there were works going on in the garage, that way more chargers can be installed
