| Route E7 | Restructed to run via Route 282 LOR from Yeading White Hart and Eastcote Lane, and Route 114 LOR to Ruislip Station. Converted to Double Deck (Route E7 currently can't convert to double deck due to the Low Bridge in South Ruislip, even though it doesn't past it, the road can still be used during emergency diversions) | New Route E4 | New Single Deck between Ruislip and Perivale Medway Estate via Route E7 LOR to Greenford Broadway and Route E5 LOR to Perivale Medway Estate. Extended via Route E6 to terminate at Hayes & Harlington Station (buses stand on Blyth Road) |
Have you ever been on the H20?
The turn at the junction of Whitton Road & Heath Road in Hounslow is tight for a 9.8m bus let alone anything longer.
Also the H20 already runs every 12 minutes?
This thread really needs to merged with the "FANTASY Bus extensions and routes that should be" as obviously most of the people who post suggestions on this thread have never been on the routes concerned as they then might be aware of some of the restrictions or the reasons why the routes operates as they do and with the vehicle types they do.
Hang on a minute, I have just had a thought, all these people must all work in the TfL Bus routes planning department as TfL has not got a clue either, e.g. the recent Richmond area changes where the new 110 is only about 50% the same routing as the old route, so why was the new route not numbered the 391 the bit between Hammersmith & Richmond is unchanged? I think it's more the case where (and I do this myself, as seen in my recent 396 proposal) we do sometimes chop routes up too much and I think it's best if you are unsure as to if the idea could come to reality it's better to ask people who regularly use the route and who are local so that u can get the best answer or ask people you know who drive said route.

Would be extended to Uxbridge via current route U1 | SD | 20 | U1 | Would be rerouted via current route U3 between Hillingdon Hospital and Uxbridge
| SD | 60 | U2 | Would be extended to West Drayton via current route U1 | SD | 10 | U3 | Would be rerouted via current route U5 between Hillingdon Hospital and Uxbridge | SD | 12 | U5 | Would be rerouted via current route U3 between Hillingdon Hospital and Uxbridge

Would TfL want to find it? Probably no The H13 is an inappropriate route to run over the U1 due to its frequency, should be kept as is 278 has too high a frequency and would also need to double run round Ruislip Station which is especially bad if the station overflows. @m1199 might be able to give insight

The forum has become overrun with route suggestions to the point it could be renamed fantasy bus forum. Gets a bit boring and having to scroll past page after page of suggestions. Definitely agree, ever since the latest Lockdown I've seen several members especially the newer ones (I'm not going to name them) who just been posting suggestions of making route changes for the sake of it even for just to kill some time of being stuck at home, which this thread has went over 90 pages since Christmas.
I can understand its a difficult time for most of us being stuck at home, but at least try to do something creative and different at the same time.

The Metropolitan line also serves Rickmansworth so it would help people get home from Rickmansworth station. I understand about the double run. This may have the same problem but I could extend the E7 to the Lido. It would no longer serve Wood Lane and would still do a double run to the station. The U10 would then be diverted via Wood Lane. Wood Lane would not suffer because it would stay within 400m of the 278, U1 and E7. The 278 would then terminate in the station. I would reduce the frequency of the U1 and extend the U2 to West Drayton. This would mean that the same level of service would be provided between Ruislip and Uxbridge.

The amount of times I've seen the suggestion of cutting the 111 back to Hounslow Bus Station is insane.

That's unreal and I thought the Covid thread was long! it's funny it used to be tender predictions that generated so much discussion.

32 - Rerouted between Staples Corner and Cricklewood Broadway via Brent Cross shopping centre and North Cricklewood. Providing a frequent and direct link to Brent Cross (replacing the 142), as well as new links to redevelopments around North Cricklewood. 142 - Withdrawn between Brent Cross and Colindale Superstores, to improve reliability. Option to reroute between Edgware Station and Burnt Oak Broadway via Hale Lane, Deans Lane, Orange Hill Road and Burnt Oak Station to provide some links previously served by the 305. 186 - Withdrawn between Harrow Bus Station and Northwick Park. Rerouted between Edgware Station and Aerodrome Road, via Hale Lane to Mill Hill Broadway Station, then Grahame Park Way & Corner Mead. Provides a DD route for extra capacity around Grahame Park redevelopents, and make the route more direct between Edgware, Mill Hill and Hendon. 189 - Could potentially be withdrawn following the 32 rerouteing, alongside a frequency increase of the 139, or diversion of the 332 via Abbey Road. If a Central London to Brent Cross link needs to be maintained, the 16 could possible extend to Brent Cross via Staples Corner, or maybe reroute the 113 to serve the shopping centre (though would add to journey time). 240 or 251 - Rerouted between Edgware and Mill Hill Broadway via Deansbrook Road, either via the current 303, or the full length of Deansbrook Road (former 303 routeing). 292 - Extended from Colindale Superstores to Cricklewood Bus Garage, partially replacing from the 32 beyond Staples Corner, and capacity via West Hendon from the 142. 303 - Rerouted between Edgware Station and Colindale Avenue via route 186, taking over some of the less direct routeing around Apex Corner and Lanacre Avenue. 340 - Extended from Harrow to Northwick Park Hospital via route 186. 32 - I sort of see where you're coming from, but then again Edgware Road is continually growing and the route works well and is busy in it's current form, busier than the 142 from my observations, so is there really merit in messing with it? 142 - with the re-routeing wouldn't you be over-bussing Hale Lane? (240,292,221,384,186 with your change and 142) 186 - the more direct reroute is likely going to happen anyway when the Grahame Park development is complete, and the new link road to Quakers Course is built. 189 - disagree and think it's important to maintain the link to Central London. The 113 wouldn't benefit itself if re-routed all the way around Brent Cross, the added journey time is not worth it considering the Prince Charles Drive northbound stop is relatively close to the shopping centre anyway. 240/251 - would choose the 240, but is there really demand for Mill Hill East - Deansbrook? The 303 and 302 cover it from Mill Hill Broadway so I don't see much benefit here. 292 - I think this is quite a hefty extension and you'd be hitting traffic hotspots down Edgware Road. Perhaps an extension just to West Hendon Broadway instead? 303 - think it works better in it's current form as a local route rather than using trunk roads and hitting Apex Corner/Mill Hill Circus. 340 - not a terrible idea, if the 186 was to be withdrawn from Northwick Park Hospital.
