306 - extend to Wandsworth Riverside Quarter via Wandsworth Bridge, Swandon Way, South Circular Road, Putney Bridge Road, Osiers Road. This would link Wandsworth Riverside to Fulham and give a direct link from Chelsea Harbour to Wandsworth Town Centre. 485 - route to remain as it is between Putney and Wandsworth, but with a double run at Wandsworth Riverside Quarter. To retain the link between Barnes, Putney and Wandsworth Riverside. Frequency increased to every 15 minutes during the day Mon-Sat, 30 mins Sun. Rerouted between Castlenau and Barnes Pond via current route 419. R70 - extended to Castlenau Lonsdale Road via 419 to Mortlake, 209 to Castlenau, plus a double run at Barnes Wetlands Centre. 533 - withdrawn, passengers can now walk across the bridge which is quicker. 209 - withdrawn, replaced by R70 419 - withdrawn, replaced by routes 485, 533 and R70. 265 - withdrawn between Putney Bridge and Barnes. Rerouted to Castlenau Lonsdale Road via 33 22 - extended to Barnes Pond via 378. To link Barnes with central London. 378 - withdrawn between Putney Bridge station and Putney High Street. Extended to Battersea Power station (new stand created), via proposed 485 to Wandsworth, A217, 44 to Battersea Park. 344 to Battersea Power station. To create new links to Battersea Power station. Withdrawing the route north of the river will not make much a difference, since passengers can use the hopper fare to jump onto a 22 or walk across the bridge. Reason for these changes is that Barnes is overbussed, so a few buses need to be got rid of and replaced with other routes to amend these changes. Also Hammersmith Bridge is open for pedestrians, which means that it is easier to get from Castlenau to Hammersmith No reason to withdraw the 533 as it's the busiest route in Barnes from my findings. Merge the 209/378 is my suggestion.

You say Barnes is overbussed and you're adding a 6bph DD route! The 378 would still link to the District Line at East Putney, which is why it serves Putney Bridge Also, leave the 265 alone and have the 209 run between Lonsdale Road and Roehampton. Also, some people can't walk over the bridge so the 533 still has some use. Other than this the proposal is very good. Could the 490 use the Richmond Bus Station stand vacated by the 419? (I would swap it with the 337 stand so the 490 could stop at stop H before going over the bridge.) It could then be decked.

Not sure if SE296's driver had turfed all the passengers off though, he had his hazard lights on when I got on at Fesping Road but still let me on and took me to Barnes. Oddly enough EH96 was the 22 I'd just got off - how did I get so many GAL MMC's ending in 96 at once?

It could be 24 hour and then the N33 and N72 could be merged as I think Hammersmith - Putney is overbussed at night. I don't think a 378 merger would work as the Barnes Bridge/Mortlake link to Castlenau and Barnes High Street would be lost. Cutting the trees down! The 490 is also a long route and a cutback would help it. I did have an idea to reroute the 419 via Lower Richmond Road (west of Chalker's Corner) and terminate it at POTP with the 490 moving to the bus station but that wouldn't work with the unwieldy long extension to Roehampton.

Well I'll counter your point and say the 533 has seen an increase in frequency from 30 minutes to every 12 minutes so I don't think it's that underused to the point where it has to be withdrawn and had to use multiple V extras likely to help with loadings leaving Hammersmith so I will disagree with you on that.
The 378 I see no point in however Barnes is a very politically fragile area because of the bridge issues and likely beforehand due to the constant SWR strikes. I don't know how they'd respond to it's removal but I do find it somewhat more useful than the 209.

My point was similar to yours. I said that the 533 was quite full with 10 or so others on it, compared to the empty 378 and the 265 or 419's I went on where there was only a couple other passengers.

The 490 is 80 minutes long at it's highest which again isn't unworkable and is the same journey time as the 263 which I see no cries for cutting it back (if anything you could drop the running time because of the improvements in regards to bus lanes etc) and there are plenty of other routes that operate at similar running times such as the 282 running at 90 minutes at it's highest.
Richmond Bus Station is pretty useless in regards to catching the train from Richmond also.

440: Withdrawn between Harrow Road and Wembley Stadium. Diverted to Sudbury Town via route 18 to Wembley, route 83 to Alperton, Bridgewater Road and Station Approach. To link Ealing Road and Wembley Central with Central Middlesex Hospital and providing a round a corner link between Bridgewater Road and Ealing Road.

To link Ealing Road and Wembley Central with Central Middlesex Hospital and providing a round a corner link between Bridgewater Road and Ealing Road. What are you going to replace the 440 with? I'd suggest the H17 could go there or even as far as Brent Park Tesco to give Harrow a link to Brent Park, though I wouldn't send the 440 to Sudbury via Alperton, it just seems too long. Also this might overbus Wembley High Road. Another option is to extend the 223 to Sudbury Town via your proposed 440 extension, leave the 440 as it is and extend the H17 to CMH via the 440

Some more ideas for East London:
101 - Instead of Beckton, rerouted to Custom House via the proposed 304. Route 304 not introduced.
104 - Revised to operate between Beckton and Stoke Newington, via proposed split route from Beckton to Stratford, then Stratford City, Waterden Road, Here East, Lee Conservancy Road, then the 276 to Stoke Newington. Provides extra capacity on part of the 276's routeing, and a more direct link from Stratford to the Hackney area (rather than via Bow).
276 - Withdrawn between Stoke Newington and Hackney Wick, and instead extended to Walthamstow Central, via Here East, Eastway, Leyton Asda, Orient Way, Lea Bridge Station, Argall Way and the W19 to Walthamstow. Option to curtail at the other end at Canning Town, swapping termini with route 323, if needed to operate more reliably.
W19 - Cut back from Argall Avenue, terminating at St James Street Station (212/275 stand).
241 - Revised to operate between Stratford and Canning Town Station (330 stand), via the planned routeing to Pontoon Dock DLR, then continuing via Silvertown Way to Canning Town. This simplifies the changes around Silvertown to have one route along North Woolwich road, connecting to Canning Town, Custom House, Plaistow and Stratford, rather than the 241 and 330 overlapping here. Option to cut back to Stratford Bus Station, if the revised 104 is sufficient to Stratford City.
330 - Planned extension to Silvertown replaced by revised 241 above. Instead extended from Canning Town to Canary Wharf, via Silvertown Way, Tidal Basin Road, Lower Lea Crossing, loop to Orchard Place, then the D3 to Canary Wharf. Introduces a direct bus link between Canning Town and Canary Wharf, plus extra capacity to serve future demand at redevelopments in the area such as London City Island.
N550 - Diverted via Lower Lea Crossing to/from Canning Town, as per the revised 330, rather than East India Dock Road.
D3 - Withdrawn between Leamouth and Blackwall DLR, and instead extended via the Blackwall Tunnel to North Greenwich. Introduces a second route through the tunnel, providing a bus link from redevelopments at Greenwich Peninsula to Canary Wharf. Optional further extension to Greenwich Ikea, Greenwich Shopping Park or Charlton Station.

Also you have left Keir Hardie without a replacement and not mentioned the 474 which is the actual replacement route this change is actually happening.

Also Hammersmith Bridge is open for pedestrians, which means that it is easier to get from Castlenau to Hammersmith For 265, I personally would leave that one alone. By withdrawing between Putney Bridge and Barnes, it hampers links to Roehampton University. Not as bad if you are nearer to Southfields, Richmond, but quite devastating and FAR longer journey (seemly?) if you are an home student travelling from North/West London and want to avoid the train. I say this as an Roehampton graduate who fondly remembers commuting via Westminster to Roehampton back in the day, and this was when 72 was not brutally cut back.
I can't comment on rest of Barnes/Putney/Wandsworth area as haven't properly ventured to give an opinion.

Both the 430 and 85 link Putney Bridge and Roehampton, being a stone's throw from the university
