Pointless really because 157 & 410 already run between Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction and provide enough capacity. I don’t see what would be achieved by getting rid of Anerley Station stand. If anything 3 & 227 should stand in the bus station but do not because of lack of space. Nothing else needs to serve Anerley otherwise will be overloaded. Yes the 157 and 410 probably are adequate although the 312 would give a direct link between Addiscombe and Woodside to Crystal Palace as the tram extension has been dropped. Anerley is really just an overflow stand for Crystal Palace. The 157,358 and 432 are more than adequate for Anerley and terminating the 249 at Crystal Palace would give better interchange with other routes. All things considered I would say the loss of the 249 to Anerley in exchange for the 312 and 432 extensions would be a better use of resources but unless more stand space can be created at Crystal Palace it's not likely to happen. The interchange between the 249 and other routes at Palace is adequate as it is. Interesting you have no problem with interchange from the 432 despite it doing the same routing through Palace town centre

Confused the 249 & 417 just then! Sorry.
I suppose if the 432 was extended to Elmers End the 363 could be extended to Anerley thus creating space for the 312 at Crystal Palace but it would mean another route down Anerley Hill that isn't really needed just adding to the cost of it all. If more stand space could be found at Crystal Palace for the 249 and 312, the 249 savings and sell off the Anerley Station stand should pay for the 312 extension and the 432 to Elmers End. Bus stands, especially on private property, should be seen as worthy assets to have & should be a last option to sell. I'm still peeved that TfL has sold the London Road stand in Barking. With a capacity of 9 buses, the stand is greatly underused with the 169. However any time there's ever a blockade on Station Parade, the 238 and 287 comfortably fit at the stand. Despite not passing by, all ELT routes are permitted to stand there. But it's a highly underused asset, and the replacement stands sandwiching the eastern North Street stop isn't ideal for any route as drivers would have to face circuitous ways of turning around.

The Anerley stand would be no great loss if the 249 was curtailed at Crystal Palace and the 432 extended to Elmers End and in TfL's current position it might stave off some cuts elsewhere.

Another one is the old stand / bus stop on Manor Road that I think is going / gone as flats are being built on both sides of the road.

Routes in Central London should get branding for tourists who don't know their way around London or haven't used buses or don't know how to get around. Similar to the route 150 but more bold and eye-catching although some routes shouldn't have it because they are allocated to more than on type of bus (e.g route 188).

Firstly, it would be great if you give some more detail as well as actual reasons. Secondly, your 255 proposal makes little sense your withdrawing the Balham to Thornton Road section without replacement. The 255 at the Pollards Hill end was created to provide a link to Norbury & Streatham from Pollards Hill & Stanford Road which it continue to do so.

E1: Extended to Yeading White Hart .3 buses on Geeenford Avenue all of which terminate in Greenford OR Withdraw E8 and extend E1 to Teading . Divert E10 via Pitshanger Lane to compensate. Section between Argyle Road and Eakung Bdwy doesn't need 2 routes

53: Extended to Trafalgar Square. That ship has long sailed I’m afraid. I wouldn’t mind seeing the 53 extended to Lambeth Palace however, to give a better connection to St Thomas’ Hospital.

Last stop would have to be Horse Guards as before.

I agree about the 73/476 idea with half the service still terminating at Stoke Newington and I would agree about the 59, or another route linking Waterloo and King's Cross, but I can't see much merit in the other suggestions.
