How does 308 to Ilford and 425 to Wanstead sound? 425 barely carries anyone from Bow Church to Ilford so maybe more people would be interested in going to Wanstead from Bow and Mile End. The 425 provides support for the 25 all the way to Mile End. I know you could say the 308 would as far as Stratford but think it’s tinkering for tinkering sake. One think I do notice is the 25 and 425 could possibly be timed better for departures from Ilford as sometimes they arrive close together but that’s not always easy as they have different frequencies.

If you've observed the 425 barely carrying anyone from Bow Church to Ilford, chances are that bus has come after a barrage of 25 buses sweeping up passengers. You wouldn't say the same thing if the opposite happened. Being a local, knowing why the 425 was extended to Ilford and understanding the busy Romford Road corridor a little better than you, I'm going to stop commenting here.

Unfortunately that won't and can't really happen as the frequency levels of the 25 and 425 are different. One thing I've resisted saying in light of the 1 and 21's girthy extensions are that I do miss the 25 in its Ilford to Oxo form. Penge, Walthamstow and Edgware to Oxford Street, but a bus to Oxford Street from the suburbs of east London just seems unworkable...

It would also connect Stratford City to Ilford Stratford City doesn't need a link to Ilford. It's only a short walk to Stratford Bus Station where you can get the 25/86/425

Merge 15 and 115:
The Route would be between East Ham Central Park and London Bridge or St Pauls via the current Route 15 (Tower Hill and Monument, turning left from Eastcheap onto King William Street) and the Route number would be numbered 15 and N15 kept the same.
Taking this route to London Bridge would be an alternative way of getting there rather than using the Jubilee Line and would connect Limehouse and Poplar to London Bridge. This route be a good support for when the Jubilee Line is suspended or closed. This would save money for tfl as not many people use the current Route 15 from Trafalgar Square to Aldgate.

Alternatively just extend the 115 to London Bridge and keep the 15. Be careful not to take too many buses off between Aldgate and Limehouse, after all the 135 was created as a new route in 2008 partly to add extra capacity on this section.

Linking in with the 271 proposals, could this happen? 135 Extended to Holloway, Nags Head. Rerouted to run to Blackwall via route 15. 15 Rerouted via Fenchurch Street. Also rerouted to run to Crossharbour via route 135 271 withdrawn with 263/143/620 changes as per consultation 115 Extended to Blackfriars via Tower Gateway and Upper Thames Street. 21 Cut back to Old Street 4 Cut back to Barbican, rerouted to Liverpool Street or Moorgate

New route night route N64 New Addington to Trafalgar Square via day 64 and 159 This bring back New Addington to Central London Link Night service on 159 withdrawn replace by N64 It would probably be better to number it N159 to avoid confusion north of Streatham, plus the old route was N159. Unless there is lots of demand I think its more likely that they could save money by axing the 159N and increasing the N109

Some of these changes seem very bizarre and to use my favourite phrase tinkering for tinkering sake.

It would be nice to see the 277 returned to North London but there's unfortunately nowhere to stand.

I understand it was your initial proposal but I'm sure many people including myself wishing to travel from that part of North London to Canary Wharf would use the Overground to Stratford and then the Jubilee Line? I find it very strange and also I imagine plenty of punters would prefer keeping the 271 as is rather than suggesting silly ideas such as the 135. Even the 21 sounds more rational than what is being suggested regarding the 135 and though the 277 was especially long after the Crossharbour changes I'm sure passengers would prefer to go that way rather than needing to faff around on the Commercial Road which is congested but I have suggested a 271 diversion to Liverpool Street/Shoreditch before via the 135.

And what replaces the 15 between Aldgate & Trafalgar Square? You could use 11 to Liverpool street then use 205,78,42 or 135 to get to Aldgate or even walk there its only an 8 minute walk. So your forcing people to change bus twice to go beyond Aldgate including relying on the 11 which has its own issues. Great advert for using the bus…
