TT are not bad, they just poorly operate route 13, as the garage is far, that is why the majority of people want the 13 to be lost, it will be interesting to see who wins it, maybe RATP will recommence its operation. RATP doesn’t really have the space for the 13. Metroline is a likely contender as could GAL and Abellio. However the majority of tenders come down to cost now and that could swing it for a TT retention. Personally I would punt for TT retention purely based on costs. TfL also do care for the service quality and also others could bid with electrics. But TfL is as poor as a church mouse (for the industry) so if TT bid real cheap with electrics maybe it could get a retention which I hope not.

RATP doesn’t really have the space for the 13. Metroline is a likely contender as could GAL and Abellio. I think on your previous comment based on garages being far maybe a bit contradictory, I agree Tower Transit can sometimes have a very bad service but it wouldn't be down to garages but how it is operated and managed. Tower Transit could always bid on EV's with the MV heading to LI for the 58 but then again, competition from garages such as Metroline who will have space could win over TfL.

I don’t, I think small operators like Tower help others in the area maintain standards and become better. You only have to look in south London where the arrival of Abellio operating like a budget operator to improve the game of longstanding traditional operators like GAL and Arriva. Well there is also RP, where they can send something from LS to free space for route 13.

The changeover point is in east access from the garage too. PB is some distance off the North Finchley end while obviously QB and SW are off the Victoria end. No secret the 13 is a mess, and it's at a point a new operator is certainly attractive. However cost wise, unless there's a major upset I think the existing element on the 13 would push a retain.

With the existing 65 buses, will be about 262 electric buses I think GAL is at 155 single, 86 double, plus 17 Optare, similar total

Is there space at Cricklewood (CW) for the 13? It is only 10 mins away from Golders Green, and the route runs there AND is even not that for from North Finchley.

Stagecoach London: 25 BYD City's For 160/660/180 Does anyone know what would be the split between the 160/660 at TL and the 180 for PD? and 25 E400 EV's on order is sightly lower than expected on the basis of 180 having 7 hybrids with rest of them being new electrics for a PVR of 17, unless more existing hybrids are planned to be allocated to the 180 than originally planned.
