Certainly looking forward to that tender, Arriva should have a fair few buses coming free from cuts so I'd be surprised if the 157 or W3 weren't existing bids. I expect the 221, 417 and W3 will be existing HVs (can't see any being lost) with the 157 new electrics if retained. Wouldn't be as confident with the 221 and W3 staying, looking at the wider Tranche the 279 and 38 are also up. Metroline have space for at least the W3 and either the 279 or 221 out of HT which could potentially cause issues to any Arriva joint bid that's put in.

Also, how many Ees are routes 119 and 264 receiving? Ee70-Ee**? Ee93 Doesn't the batch go up to 95 so Ee70-Ee95?

Not sure if it a fluke or planned, but appears the 11 routes awarded with new electric buses, but I think it works out at 68 single decks and 68 double decks
Go Ahead 60 buses, Metroline 31, Abellio 23, Arriva 21 is about 136 buses

Can't see the W3 with Metroline, it will be weird seeing them in Tottenham 38 and 279 will stay put, electrics for the 279 please

I could see W3 snatching the SWs from 340 (I'm sure they're 340 allocated) I very much doubt it. For a start there is not enough SW's, they are highly unreliable, compared to the DW it succeeded. [GR] maintenance did not help the buses at all. Even SW1 which originally started life at [WN] is another long term unfit with its engine gone and needing a total rebuild.

Maybe not permanently, but the HVs from the 243/341 cuts seem to be reallocated to the 41/123 now, with a number of 11reg DWs being out of service for a while. If the routes mentioned are retained, my guess would be enough hybrids scraped together for the 417, but with new electrics for the W3. However both routes could be quite competitive tenders. The excess HVs at AR could easily be swapped out when DW501-514 become free from their duties at E, which are yet to begin. I can personally see 417 & 157 going G3 HV. W3, in my eyes will either be electric or take HAs. Well we could say the same about the parked up 59-reg DWs at TC, as those 11-reg at AR, but we have been assured they will return to service. Been thinking about this a little more. Can see Arriva pushing for the 221 & W3 with hybrids. They won't want to pay for electrification just before they plan to redevelop WN
