The 8 passes directly over the 40 at Holborn Viaduct, and meets the 56 nearby at St Paul's/Newgate Street and the 168 at Holborn Station.
Think someone has already mentioned it, but the 9, whilst it doesn't meet the 18 it does meet the 27 and 36.

The 8 also meets the 344 and 488, passes within shouting distance of the 24, stands pretty close to the 176 and used to meet the 48.....

I missed this before, but the old 9 would, in the course of a journey from Hammersmith to Ludgate Circus have passed the 18 (at L.D.), 27,36,45,63 and 72, so only 54 missing. An N9 would add 81 to that list too!

Interestingly enough I noticed a few months ago that the 115 and 330 share quite a large parallel section, and thought ‘oh that’s interesting a route number that is twice the other’ (ie 330 is double 115) and have never batted an eyelid to it until now when I went to post about it....
From someone who got an A* in their maths A-level ..... 🤦🏻♂️

How has no one mentioned the similarities of the 16 and 32 yet!! It's quite funny as both routes have led to a spin off 316 and 332, although those aren't multiples so better leave that one there

Not entirely sure why the 316 was introduced just for the Cricklewood to Neasden section to be replaced by yet another route just ten years later but there you go lol

This thread, the different side of the Road but same destination thread and the double passing thread makes you realise how much the bus network has changed within the last 16 years.
