I think thou with social distancing potentially coming to an end with the high numbers being vaccinated each day now that it will be harder for TFL to justify running pretty much the full service with the help of government money. Rather then 35 on a DD we may be back to 90 passengers by summer in which case if loadings are still lower then before March/April last year then lowers freqs may be on the cards. I can't see social distancing or full capacity buses coming back anytime soon, I think this is more hope rather than actual expectation. Even If all government restrictions are lifted in June? I think most peoples mindset is we are heading towards the end of distancing as more and more people get the vaccine. In reality it seems more and more buses are running over the restricted capacity especially busy routes like the 25.

We have entered a period where the farcical reality is, can have a bus full of unvaccinated people on a school run, or a restricted capacity bus even if all the passengers have had second jabs. Of course not everyone has had two jabs yet, but shows how the current rules no longer make sense

Just some observations on the above, I have experienced many rammed H37's twixt Hounslow / Isleworth towards St. Margaret's / Richmond Stations even before the schools returned - had to wait for the 3rd bus just the other day - it is the low-paid continental workers whom now populate Hounslow and it's environs still absolutely relying on the Bus Network to get to work. Similarly the N15's at the other end (observing from contra direction N551's) are now rammed going into town from about 03:00 onwards.

I stopped using it and started to use the Jubilee Line when things were infection rates were still very high.

Let's hope it does recover - I'm in the group that does think it will, with reopenings I can see people moving to public transport once again and not only that but the congestion charge will likely have an impact and sadly, the poverty that has hit London throughout the pandemic with all the job losses from being closed down. Let's also hope people get back to the office quickly, as it will likely create a sense of job security

When we say deal does it mean the money eventually has to be paid back?

Grant Shapps has offered a new deal, based on the current terms until May 18th Conveniently right after the mayoral election, wouldn't be surprised to see this become a sticking point in the campaigning.

Not a new deal with new terms, but an extension to existing H2 deal (currently ending 31st March) to 18th May Link to the deal content.tfl.gov.uk/transport-for-london-settlement-letter.pdfNow upto the TfL Board if they want to accept the extension There are currently no Board or committee meetings scheduled before 31 March

I think I would struggle to save £5000 even with a job and home to live in let alone someone homeless. Its such a disappointment that the Conservatives couldn't find a better candidate so that London would have a better link better itself and central Government. Why would you struggle to save £5000, just cut back on something and put it in an account that you would not touch; or under your mattress, lol

I am a betting man, and reckon if Sadiq wins the Mayoral Elections, he will be forced to put up fares again before the end of the summer!

Seems quite likely London Election 6th May Bailout extension ends 2 weeks later 18th May Fortnight for new mayor to grovel to Government, so I suspect some of his subsidised fares might go as well The extra funding is £485m Base funding of £260m and fares dependant funding of £225m
