I believe the C3 will be the first ever route which has been awarded to Tower Transit, and lost by Abellio. 328 could be doing the same but other way, just waiting for tender release. No it was the 452. I wouldn’t rule out the 414 either...

Maybe in the future the 159 but that's not up for tender so too early to speak about that route.

The 28 and 31 started off with Mercedes minibuses as well, but I don’t think it counts as the allocation at the time of conversion was dual door Marshall’s Although they didn't start off with MAs, they were RM prior to MA conversion, they are other examples of former minibus routes now double-deck. Route U4 started off with MAs in 1989 but has since been double-decked. Actually route U4 does have a distinction of its own. It was among the routes involved in the First to Metroline sale in 2013. It has, uniquely so far among those routes, been converted from First vehicles to Metroline vehicles then back to First vehicles! (Ex-First TN/TP to Metroline VP to ex-First DN/TE). The U4 technically has stayed with ex First vehicles since First took over Centrewest as the VP allocation it had under Metroline wasn't a full one and was still supplemented by ex First TE's, some of which are still there on the route now. The next contract should be the first time the U4 won't use ex First vehicles regardless of who will be running it.

The 205 is probably the only route that (ELBG) Stagecoach East London have won from Metroline.

I’m pretty sure one can see horses on the 372 as well On the 96, there is a farm on Upper Wickham Lane which has some horses, there was also an old ALX400 there, but it’s gone now. On the old routing before it was diverted to Darent Valley, there was a large swathe of farmland which had many animals. The eastbound 53 also passes the deer enclosure at Greenwich Park. Around the Yarnton Way roundabout, there will often be horses too. Oh god, don't even get me started on the horses. I've got too many stories about them from driving the 180. 🙈 For anyone unfamiliar with the area, the gipsy's have a little camp in the industrial estate at Belvedere and they ride up and down Yarnton Way on their horses (often even two side by side obstructing all traffic). I remember one of them being killed while riding down the spine road - you have to be very thick though to ride a horse down a 50mph road.

132/422/486 - the largest group of routes sharing exactly the same termini both sides (but with different routings)

I would take a guess and say Streatham to Brixton probably qualifies as having most routes run the same route between two town centres. Off the top of my head there's the 109, 118, 133, 159, 250 and 333.

Before the 25 hacking it was possible to get from Ilford to Edgware by changing only 1 bus through 2 different ways: - 25 + 113 - 123 + 221

The 107 and 331 are the only routes that exit TfL land and go back into it.
