London & Country use to operate routes as far in as Central London, the 176 to Oxford Circus being one of them. And for our younger readers.............(Not my photo) Attachment Deleted

Many years ago, London Transport could not tell their Easts from their Wests. I deduce this because they introduced E routes in west London but W routes in east London! Maybe - but E was for Ealing and W was for Walthamstow and Wood Green. Blame the ancients who thought these names up centuries ago! W was also for Woodford (W13 & W14) B for Barking

Which bus route passes the most bus garages? The 36 / 436 does 3 (Walworth, Camberwell, new cross). Think there are a few more which do 3 but keen to know it any bus does more If you count CN, then possibly the 455 as it goes right past 3 garages (CN, BC, C), but also goes very close to TH and TC. Depending on the radius that you count as 'close' then it could vary between 3 and 5.

The 121 is probably another route which serves WN, AD, E
476 goes through NP, AR, SF and nearby EC, KC/HT and CT

Think there are a few more which do 3 but keen to know it any bus does more The 237 passes S, V and AV and close to its home garage of AH The 266 passes W, AC and WJ and about 100 yards from its home garage of RP The 226 passes AC and very close to W, WJ and PV Kind of a cheat but any route that serves Edgware already kind of passes 2 garages (EW and BT) so there will plenty of these routes that pass at least 3 garages The 281 starts at AV then passes FW and TF and ends at Tolworth Tower, a short walk from TV

The C3 and G1 were once sub-contracted to Limebourne (QB) from London General (AF) and South London¹ (N) respectively, the long-term loaned buses mechanically maintained by those depots.

RATP and Abellio are the only companies where all of their garages either do or did have a letter prefix routes at the garage? Until Abellio lose the C3 then for them it still stands. Sullivans Buses?

AC (Willesden) has three routes that all start at the garage and head into Central London (which I define as zone 1). They have 5 routes terminating at Willesden bus garage which I think is the most - 6, 52, 98, 297, 460

Now that SF is closing it will no longer hold true - but the 349 (I think) is the only route which starts from one bus garage (SF) and goes to another bus garage (E)

It terminates at AH and just passes G before terminating at Greenford Broadway The 79 also almost has garages at both ends. Terminates by BT/EW and goes an extra stop from ON to terminate at Alperton Sainsburys.

Could add 243 and 148 to the list of routes that nearly make it - the termini aren't exactly right outside the garage like the 222 or 349, but still pretty close (well maybe Shepherd's Bush is stretching it a bit for the 148).
