For East London, walking the 376 from East Ham to Beckton Bus Station is way quicker than riding on the 376 end to end. Newham in general seems to be rife for these sorts of routes. You could quite possibly walk from Manor Park to Stratford and beat the 104 too, oh and once the 325 is extended to Beckton Park you'll probably be able to walk that as well. There's a few routes in East where you can probably partially beat them. With the 241 you could probably get off at the Balaam St/Barking Road junction and walk to Hermit Road. With the 62 you could probably get off at the Lodge Avenue flyover and walk and beat the bus to Gascoigne Estate. With the 366 you might just about be able to get off at Sainsburys and beat it by walking to Beckton Station but I don't think you'll be able to do that with the 262 due to the fact it doesn't go via Cyprus to take time. Yep 241 easily done from Balaam St. 325 could be done if suitable pavement for pedestrians was available on the Royal Dock Roads /A1020.

214 is one too as you can walk from Highgate to Moorgate via Highbury and Old Street (the 271 routing but walking) and get there first.

AC (Willesden) has three routes that all start at the garage and head into Central London (which I define as zone 1). BN rivals that with the 59, 137 & 319 all starting at BN and finishing within Zone 1 Good call.

In general any of the squiggly / U shaped routes would fit the criteria. Think the likes of 61, 331, 300, 325, 376 would fit the criteria Pre-Covid I would have said any route in central London! I remember it once took me 45 min to get from the Adler road bus stop to Liverpool Street on a 205 when the Aldgate gyratory removal was in process!

Are there any routes that you could literally walk from 1 terminus to the other terminus using the quickest walking route and beat the bus. 191 Brimsdown to Edmonton Green is one as well as R3 Princess Royal Hospital to Orpington Station Don’t R9 because thats a circular service which would take 0 minutes Currently you could walk from Hounslow to West Middlesex Hospital faster than taking the 111 and soon you’ll be able to beat the H22 between those two. Two others you might be able to beat on foot from end to end are the 39 and 163.

The 331 would be faster by bus, no doubt aided by the faster roads it serves, unless you ran. Walking takes around 75 minutes between Uxbridge and Ruislip, while the 331 takes a maximum of 64 minutes

I think it's possible to beat a 521 is you walk via the 381 routing. Another one being the 46. Don’t think you can beat the 46, it’s way too long. I think the 46 would get there first, but walking should not take any longer of about 20 minutes than the original route. If you walked from Lancaster Gate, there are loads of ways you can follow the 94 and then the ex-25 route which is much quicker, or follow the 18 to Euston, King’s Cross and walk which the 46 does already from King’s Cross. Going by Google maps and the run time for the 46 it's possible. Walk. 1 hour 16 mins Bus. 1 hour 29 mins

If I need to go to Beckton and it's not to fetch the DLR, I wouldn't entertain a sightseeing trip of Beckton on the 366. Just in the past fortnight I hopped off at Showcase cinemas and failed to get the 173; was disappointed so I walked from there instead of Sainsbury's and I still beat that 366 driver!! Granted the driver departed almost immediately but I was happy that I was adding to life instead of having the life sucked out of me going round Beckton lool. Back in the days of the Boleyn ground still standing, match days would force my hand to walk from Newham Town Hall to Beckton Station. I'd normally do it in under 20, closer to 16 minutes if I didn't contend too much with other people & cars pulling out side roads. I can be confident in saying I've never taken a 376 end to end. The closest I've come are bus strikes years ago where the 376 was one of very few low PVR routes to run, so I'd take it from Beckton to Green Street or Katherine Road and walk home.

If you're doing it at the right time you can beat the U2 on foot between the route's termini.

Crossharbour Asda is unique in that it’s served by 4 terminating routes - 135, 277/N277, D6 and D8 - all run by separate operators
135 - GAL 277 / N277 - Stagecoach D6 - HCT D8 - Tower Transit
Probably unique. Any other place where all routes are run by different operators?

Mount Vernon hospital is also served by 4 terminating routes which are different operators although only 2 are TfL services 282 - Metroline H11- London Sovereign 8 (non-TfL) - Arriva R1/2 (non-Tfl) - Red Eagle Also there’s a fifth through-running route (Metroline’s 331) which ruins the uniqueness of those routes
