149 must have some sort of record for the number of bus lanes or total distance or % of route that is bus lane. Amazing and reliable journey times and hence good passenger numbers. Shame they took out Tottenham part but still good. The 472 must be another contender? Has a bus lane from North Greenwich till ikea, then once it reaches the A206, has a bus lane all the way till woolwich plus some more thereafter

Shame they took out Tottenham part but still good. This demonstrates clearly how much bus lanes and bus priority are needed to operate fast, reliable and attractive bus services. And of course its isn't just the 149, numerous other bus routes parallel the 149 for part of its length and they also benefit from the bus lanes. Indeed. Unfortunately the empty cycle lanes are hurting buses the most I see gridlock everyday whereas buses used to flow properly leading to cutty sark for example

Last year when the 470 moved from RATP to GAL, it went from using 67 reg DDE's to 15 reg SEs. How many other routes have been allocated older buses when won by another operator?
This excludes any temporary allocations while waiting for new vehicles like the 265 currently has.

I'm pretty there's many more examples of this.

Are you including any allocation changes mid contract that wasn’t temporary and wasn’t to do with waiting for new vehicles? If yes, the 37 went from W reg PVL’s to V reg AVL’s and the 132 upon double decker conversion went from 04/54 reg DWL’s to X reg PVL’s

Didn’t the 306 also go from using 16 reg VH’s to 64 reg under Metroline with the ex TT VWH’s? If you’re also looking for examples of routes which switched to older vehicles when the current operator kept the contract, the 407 partially converted from 64 reg E200’s to 61 reg E400H’s in 2019 when it was decked. I’m sure there are other examples that may spring to mind.

I think route P4 is the only route from TL never to go as far south at Catford town centre. (I therefore think NX or Q will be a more suitable garage for it, and hope for NX.)

430 has seven consecutive stops with Putney in it. Also the N74 (pedantics!) But yes good spot. I always thought that the millennium ones near North Greenwich was the longest stretch but this is a longer list
