Two routes ending in 68 have either been retired or the route withdrawn this year (168 withdrawn and X68 renumbered SL6). The same can be said for the 07 series (507 withdrawn, 607 renumbered SL8) Routes withdrawn this year: 168, 271, 332, 507, 521 Route numbers withdrawn this year: 607, X26, X68 The question is when has even one example taken place in the same year, let alone two which is very rare 1961 - three examples Troleybus routes 517 617 521 621 543 643 All withdrawn and replaced by bus routes 17 221 and 243 respectively!

If Go-Ahead win routes 150 and 156, they’ll have 8 consecutive routes, which I think would be the most out any operator. They’d have 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156 and 157

Which ironically is where the buses for the 481 are going to come from

Arriva gave up the contract which novated to RATP in December 2017 before Abellio won it on tender and started operating from June 2019. The 493 has 3 operators in under a year. It was run by Centra before they ceased to operate their London routes on May 2006. Armchair/Metroline took over on an emergency contract before it was won on tender by NCP starting March 2007

There have been various short-term contracts that have resulted in 3 operators in less than 3 years. The 493 has already been mentioned. Others include 49, 65, 127, C1, C10. Obviously I'm excluding emergency operations where multiple operators had to be called in to run a route at short notice (e.g. 60, 185).

Arriva T66-83 batch was new to the 38 at CT to convert the route back to double deckers from bendys, then it moved at AE to convert to the 78 to DD, after a few years it then moved to DX for the 173 again to to convert to the route to DD and finally after the 173 was lost to Stagecoach then most of that batch moved to DT to to convert the 428 to DD. I don't think there is a batch of buses in London that has been used to convert 4 different routes to double deckers, certainly in recent years.

407 received a few E40H MMCs from the 45 which was cut to E&C a few years ago, only for the 407 itself to be cut back to Croydon this time next year!

Not quite - RATP lost the route in December 2020, Metroline will lose it in April 2023, so just over 3 years.

If you include the school extras operated by Abellio/TUK, you could shorten that down to 2 days! Friday, RATP and Abellio, Saturday, Metroline.
