What route (s) have the "steepest" bus stops in London? Something I have always wondered? There is a couple of stops on A316 (M3 extension) where bus stops were on a flyover. From memory used to be concrete staircase to reach it (not sure if it is now a ramp) Certainly requires one of steepest accelerations, buses have about one bus length to get to 50mph to join traffic lanes (think it used to be 60mph (or maybe 70mph) on this section

I believe the boroughs blessed with no LT's are Croydon, Harrow and Sutton. These include night routes, but do not include strays - I've counted routes that are allocated LT's only.

N16 goes to Barnet. What's interesting is that two night routes that go to Croydon both have LTs in the day but at night they use conventionals these being the N68 and N137. Really badly worded what I meant was that 68 and 137 use LTs during the day I know these routes don't enter the borough of Croydon.

Ealing and Hillingdon only have LTs at night, N11 for Ealing and N9 for Hillingdon.

Back then there was no LTs at N and there would be a little point changing the route allocation now. However next tender could be different.

The historical unique trivia I always liked (it being local to me) was the 240/A being the only bus route on which a tube ticket was valid, in lieu of the Northern Line extension from Mill Hill East to Edgware.

The only bus routes to be present at both ends of a train / tube line are as follows:
- 26: both ends of Waterloo & city line - 126 and 261: grove park to Bromley north shuttle - 248, 370, 347 (and maybe a few more): Romford - Upminster overground - 474: both ends of Canning Town - beckton dlr service - D8: both ends of Stratford - Canary Wharf dlr - N551: both ends of tower gateway - beckton dlr - 21: both ends of lewisham - bank dlr

Even though Harrow don’t have LTs, the N16 gets as close as it gets without entering Harrow as the section of Edgware Road between Burnt Oak and Edgware is the border between Harrow and Barnet

Can any route beat the 35 in terms of most railway bridges it runs under? It runs under 12 in total - 1 very wide one at Clapham Junction, 2 on Brixton Road, 2 on Gresham Road in Brixton, 3 on Coldharbour Lane at Loughborough Junction, 1 on Walworth Road at Elephant, the wide one at London Bridge, the one on Shoreditch High Street & one on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch

Are the 35, 45, 345, P4 & N35 the only routes to run under 3 separate railway bridges at the same place (Loughborough Junction)? The 112 and 440 runs under 6 railway bridges at Stonebridge Park. There’s a 7th bridge that is a road bridge linking the Royal Mail depot to the NCR

What double deck routes have the most challenging turns. The turn on the 189 southbound from Kilburn High Road on to Quex Road can be difficult at times as it's quite a tight turn and sometimes vehicles are stopped past the stop line. Also there's another similar situation not on a double decker route but on the 108 (with it's 12m buses) turning left from Bow Road on to Campbell Road
