Whst is GAL?I wish people wouldn't use acronyms on here GAL - Go-Ahead London. I generally avoid using acronyms myself, although most enthusiasts are familiar with GAL and probably just assume that everyone else is too. Does that mean we have to use ‘Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens’ from now on? 🤔😂

I think the U1 is the only route that serves Uxbridge but doesn't terminate there.

I think the U1 is the only route that serves Uxbridge but doesn't terminate there. Only TfL route - Arriva (Green Line) 724 also shares that honour. As did Carousel's 102 when it ran through to Heathrow.

The R11 is the only route in Orpington that doesn't serve Orpington Station.

The G1 is the only route that involves a 3 point turn, albeit out of service (Battersea terminus)

Just catching up with this.
The 368 has been operated by Blue Triangle 3 times, but they only won the contract once. The route was also operated by Docklands Buses twice, both times the contract moved to another operator before the end of the contract

The R11 is the only route in Orpington that doesn't serve Orpington Station. There’s another one related to Orpington - the R7 is the only route to do the double run via the Walnuts Centre all day, every day. The 358, R5/R10 and R8 all miss it out in the mornings. Makes one wonder why the 7s are the only ones doing it!

371 serves the smallest Sainsburys Local in London. Sorry is that a bit to unique and boring 😁 You will get extra Nectar points for that.

24 and 240 are Oldest unchanged routes like the have always been the same then they are created 607 is almost exactly like the old trolleybus route 607 Shepherds Bush to Uxbridge. Route 607 is also the only 600 route that is not a Schoolday only service.

Not only that, but the 331 is probably one of the most indirect routes, alongside the 455 and 386. To beat the: 331 - you could take the U1 and beat it. 386 - you could beat it by taking the 54. 455 - excluding the section in Old Lodge Lane, you could take the 127 to Wallington Station and beat it. 331 is very scenic route I rode it from Harefield to Ruislip yesterday.

I generally avoid using acronyms myself, although most enthusiasts are familiar with GAL and probably just assume that everyone else is too. An acronym I hate is AL for Arriva London. I always think at first people are referring to Merton garage.

I believe route 5 is the only day route with central London and Romford heritage. In January 1981 it became Waterloo - East Ham, but has since then gained eastern extensions but been withdrawn from the west. (I am not counting route 23 as this route number disappeared from 1985 to 1992).
Route 134 is the only route to serve zone 1 (Warren Street) operating from a base outside Greater London (PB).
Route 157 is the only route (so far) to have been lost by Abellio to Arriva. It may be unique for having all Mon-Sat buses from 1 garage and all Sunday buses from another (N and TH respectively).
Route 357 is (I think) uniquely double-deck Mon-Sat and single-deck Sundays.
