The 92 never made it to Kings Cross. Has only ever run as far south as Hanwell and as far north as St Raphaels Estate. The core of the route between the Iron Bridge and Wembley has been served continuously since its inception. The 92 has actually been extended since it first began. What isn’t shown on the Ian Armstrong website is that for a short time in the 1980’s the 92 was extended to Hanwell Broadway (terminating at [HL]) during certain times of the day.
The 182 and 186 also started life as offshoots of the 18, replacing the Sudbury-Harrow and Harrow-Edgware sections respectively in June 1970. Ironically (given the theme of shortened routes) these routes are both much longer today than they were in the early 1970s.
